The tradition of carrying multiple hunting knives dates back centuries when hunters relied on different blade shapes for specific outdoor tasks. Throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, craftsmen produced matched knife sets that offered versatility during hunting, camping, and wilderness travel. Fixed blade knives became especially popular because of their strength and reliability in demanding outdoor conditions. As Damascus steel forging evolved, knife makers began creating handcrafted blade sets that combined durability with distinctive etched patterns. Today, Handmade Damascus Twin Hunting Knife Sets are valued by collectors, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts for their craftsmanship, functionality, and unique appearance.

Introduction

This Handmade Damascus Twin Hunting Knife Set from JW SteelCrafts features two handcrafted fixed blade knives designed for outdoor performance and traditional craftsmanship. Each knife is forged from layered Damascus steel and finished with decorative acid etching that highlights the flowing forged patterns across the blade surface. The matching blade designs provide versatility for hunting, camping, bushcraft, and outdoor utility tasks.

Each knife measures 14 inches overall, featuring a 9-inch Damascus steel blade and a 5-inch Brown Micarta handle. The ergonomic handle design offers a secure grip and dependable control during extended use. Built as fixed blade knives, they provide strength, balance, and durability, making them an excellent choice for collectors, hunters, and outdoor users who appreciate handmade Damascus steel craftsmanship.

Blade

The blades are hand forged from genuine Damascus Steel, creating unique layered patterns that make each knife distinctive. Decorative acid etched detailing further enhances the appearance of the forged steel while showcasing traditional blade-making techniques.

The long blade profile delivers excellent cutting performance for hunting preparation, camp tasks, bushcraft work, and general outdoor utility. Damascus steel is valued for its durability, edge retention, and striking handcrafted appearance.

Handle

The handles are crafted from durable Brown Micarta, a material known for its strength, moisture resistance, and secure grip. Micarta performs exceptionally well in outdoor environments and maintains stability under changing weather conditions.

The ergonomic handle shape improves comfort and handling control while complementing the forged Damascus blades. The brown finish provides a classic outdoor appearance that pairs well with the traditional Damascus pattern.

Favorite DIY Sidekick

Bought this for one task: grind away an interfering piece of metal in my door’s strike plate. I was unhappy about spending $20 on another DIY tool for one tiny specific purpose but to my pleasant surprise, I haven’t stopped using this dremel since. I’ve cut and sanded wood projects, trimmed custom cabinet panels, smoothed jagged hole edges, and more. I hardly ever turn the dial past 4 to find a speed I’m comfortable with. It’s very powerful and gives great results. I bought a cheaper one that busted on the first try and I’m so happy this was my next choice. It’s handled all the fixer-upper challenges I’ve asked of it. The starter kit is a little sparse on the good stuff like saw blades and washers but very helpful. The case is convenient. My only gripe is I have to be intentional about placement to get it to close but the cord and extension tool is so long and useful that it makes up for it. It’s a little bulky but comfortable to hold and I’ve been able to reach all the narrow corners and tight spaces I’ve needed. My next project is to cut away some protruding screw threads and my immediate thought was to reach for the WEN rotary. For the amount of value I’ve gotten out of it, this thing has paid for itself a few times already.

Perfect rotary tool for light or heavy project with power.
Style: Corded, Style: Corded
Polishing is my main purpose for using rotary tool. I've had hardell and dremmel before. Heavy use of these tool they get hot and wear out fast. Wen rotary tool is better. It's heavy duty, twice as big, 1.5 lbs, it has big motor and variable speed without the noise. It's perfect for hobbies and for 3in polishing or sanding pad. It's polarized electric plug in. The attachments came with it is superior than any rotary tool I've used. Its a solid product. I can already tell undoubtedly this is a good product if not the best. The other rotary tool have the lock chuck button opposite of the power button which premarturely damages internal mechanism accidentally use the lock button while still spinning. Wen is power button is switch away from chuck lock button. It's not too big nor too small to use. The life expectancy for Wen rotary tool will likely be three times longer than dremmel or hardell in my guess because of its design.

Love this thing. But, love the company even more!
Style: Corded
This is my 1st rotary tool ever. So excited because the things you can do are limitless. I received my tool and only used it 3 times. I was so happy I bought this but then the power switch broke, oddly. I said well, you get what you pay for right? Well, I called the phone number listed here on Amazon, and they answered. I briefly explained what happened, and just asked if I could send them the main unit for replacement. The customer service person asked for my details, order number, etc. Then within a few minutes, he said, Sir, we're just going to send you a new one, if that's okay. I was like huh? I said, I know it's been 8 months and that really would be awesome because I love it! He said we stand behind all of our products and it's the least we can do, and we apologize for any inconvenience. I was like huh? Lol. It really is hard to find service like this these days. To be so excited about a 20 dollar tool, that you've always wanted but just never got around to getting, spending 20 bucks and not only getting a fantastic tool, but getting the authentic service we all deserve, priceless! Thank you so much Wen and Amazon! Hope this helps others that are interested in this really useful and fun tool.

Safety concerns
Style: Corded
The variable speed when base is nice and works very well. However the flexible accessory shaft has a major design flaw., there is no locking mechanism on the flexible shaft making it impossible to tighten the collet down to hold the bit in place. Making it easy for the bit to come out of the flexible shaft while it is rotating at any speed.

For the money this is amazing!
Style: Corded
I love this rotary tool. Mind you it’s not a 150$+ dremmel but it is a workhorse and very reliable. I see these comments of disappointed people saying it’s not up to there standards and there dremmel is better. I don’t understand that. This is a 20$ rotary tool and the best one for that price you can find. Most of these reviews are comparing to high end expensive dremmels and that doesn’t make sense to me. Anyway I like the rotary tool very much and the first thing I did was buy the keyless Chuck made by wen so I don’t have to deal with collets and have them wear out or keep changing them when I need to use a different size bit. Best investment I made. Makes life so much easier. I ended up buying 2, one for the rotary and one for the flex shaft. Also if you have never used a flex shaft you need to understand that you have to take the collar off and slide the insert out of the flex shaft so you can clamp the rotary tool on it and then screw it on where you removed the collar. I recommend every 20 to 30 hours of use with the flex shaft take the insert out and wipe the grease off and reapply a light amount of grease. That way it doesn’t heat up. I’ve found that with this particular flex shaft graphite does not work so well like other models. It will get hot with graphite. I’ve found that Valvoline red high temp bearing grease works the absolute best. You can buy it in the tube here on Amazon or at you’re local auto parts store. The high temp is what you need and it prevents grease from melting down into the handle of the flex shaft. All in all this is a win win if you understand how to maintain and take care of it. I originally got one of these because my grandfather has one and it’s over 12 years old and it’s still working. Probably has a couple thousand hours of use on his. Take care of you’re stuff it will take care of you…
