A rare and evocative Georgian mourning ring. Dating to 1835 its created in rich 18 carat gold. The ring features a distinct linear design, characteristic of early 19th century mourning jewellery, where restrained elegance and symbolism were favoured over excess ornamentation.

The mount would originally have been fitted with bands of black enamel, traditionally used to signify mourning and remembrance. Today, only the faintest surviving traces remain, softly worn through time, adding to the quiet dignity of the piece.

Inside the band is a deeply poignant hand engraved dedication: “Peter Earnshaw died 25th Nov 1836 aged 86”

We have traced Peter Earnshaw within the historical record. His burial took place on 2nd December 1836 at St Andrew’s Church, Aldborough, Yorkshire, and remarkably, his grave survives (image attached). Further research reveals that Peter was married twice — first to Mary, whom he lost in 1805, and later to Elizabeth, whom he married in 1808 and lost in 1817.

Peter’s memorial is located within the nave of St Andrew’s Church, an honour that indicates his high standing within the local community. The survival of both this ring and its inscription provides a rare and tangible connection to his life and legacy.

Now serving as a mourning ring, this piece offers the opportunity either to preserve it as a moving historical artefact. A powerful example of Late Georgian era mourning jewellery, valued as much for its story as for its craftsmanship.

An exceptional and deeply sentimental survivor of the early 19th century.

Perfect toy for an active dog!
Color: Large size (7.9")
My dog absolutely loves this ball with handles! It’s quickly become one of his favorite toys, and he gets excited every time we bring it out to play. The vibrant colors are a huge plus—they make it super easy to spot in the grass, which saves a lot of time during outdoor play sessions. The handles are great for interactive play too, especially for tugging and tossing. I’m really impressed with how well it’s holding up. Even with constant pulling, tugging, and rough use, it’s remained durable and hasn’t shown any signs of wearing out. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase—and if my dog could write reviews, it would definitely get his paw stamp of approval! 🐾

Great idea poor construction
Color: Large size (7.9"), Color: Large size (7.9")
Great for a dog that likes tug and fetch but the seams are not strong so it ripped fast not from tug but my dogs teeth. I sewed it once since we loved playing with it but it didnt last. Other seams opened. The seams opened in the ball part not by the handles. Less seams and stronger ones would make it 5 star. Im trying a different brand.
