Yamaha CS-5 Rare Vintage Monophonic Analogue Synthesiser Serviced! - 100V

The Yamaha CS-5 is a monophonic analog synthesiser introduced in 1979 and produced until 1983. It features a single voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that offers pulse or sawtooth waveforms, as well as a noise generator. The synthesiser includes a multi-mode filter with 12dB/oct high-pass and low-pass modes, and a 6dB/oct band-pass mode. It also has a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) with sine, sawtooth, and sample & hold waveforms. The CS-5 also allows external audio input, which can be routed through the filter and amplifier sections. Known for its warm analog bass and synth effects, the CS-5 has been used by artists such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, Richard Barbieri, and the Sneaker Pimps

Condition:

• This CS-5 has been used.

• This CS-5 is in good condition for a approximately 45 year old synthesiser. There are some signs of wear like some marks, nicks and scratches. There is some surface oxidisation on the faceplate as well as some screws. Under the keys and on the bottom show some larger sections where the black colouring has come off. Although not physically perfect, the unit has had a though service and is still an awesome sounding piece.

• This CS-5 has been serviced. All pots and switches were cleaned, any faulty components were replaced and the synth was calibrated to factory specs.

• This CS-5 has been thoroughly tested after its service and we can confirm it is 100% functional. It has no faults to note.

• Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. If you are unsure about this please let us know. We have some great, compatible step-downs for sale HERE. They are designed in Australia for use in Australia and can be run 24/7.

• If you purchase from outside Australia you may need a step-down transformer to use this unit. Please contact us if you need any help sourcing the correct product.

Smells great. Doesn't mess with my pits.
Style: Casked Vanilla, Size: 2.65 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I ordered the casked vanilla scent. My lady loves it on me. The added benefit I wasn't expecting was no more sour pit smell by the end of the day that has plagued me using other brands. I'll keep ordering this stuff for now.

Effective
Style: Italian Bergamot, Size: 2.65 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Smells is nice but not amazing, the body wash in the Bergamot smells much better. But this stuff lasts. No chalky / sticky feeling but still keeps me BO free for two days straight.

Can't stop laughing
Format: Hardcover
These are amazing tales from Turkey. Beautiful narration of several very old tales. They bring the Hoja back to life. My kids and I thoroughly enjoy the stories and can't stop laughing as we read the tales again and again. The illustrations are superb.

Muslim Folktales of a Wise but Silly Teacher
Format: Hardcover
Reason for Reading: I love legends, folklore and the like. This was an area completely unknown to me so I was intrigued to read these tales. These stories come from Turkey and are Muslim tales of a wise man, a trickster and a fool all wrapped up in the same person. Hoji is a Muslim teacher, some respect him others don't. Historically, Nasrudin Hoja (who goes by a host of different spellings) is considered an actual man who may have lived in the 1200s, his funny tales with messages have been handed down and built upon all over the middle east and across Asia, even reaching as far as China. But this book sticks with the tales told in Turkey, centered on the then village of Aksehir. There are ten folktales presented here, each is short (only a few pages long) and Hoji while being a wise man is really very silly indeed. Children should find these stories humorous and laugh at the solutions Hoji comes up with to his, or others, troubles. He is always fair and stuck-up people will get pulled back down to reality. Hoji is a winner for the common folk and isn't afraid to take on a man of much greater status than himself. Hoji is also a trickster and likes to cause a little trouble by bringing someone back down to earth and showing him he is not above other people just because he has money or position. Then there is Hoji the fool, who will listens to what people tell him and in the end it is he who has been made a fool of, but still a lesson is being taught. Most of the stories have a lesson attached to them though they are not always blatantly obvious and do require you to think what the message of the story is. A couple, I think were just silly stories, as I could not find a message hidden in them at all. The book is told in simple language and as I said the stories are short so I'm recommending this for lower elementary children or as a read-aloud to younger children of any age. The illustrations are beautiful. Capturing the art of Turkish design in bold, bright cartoon-ish style pictures which seem to be done in a mixed-media format and, if I'm not mistaken, that includes a tad of collage as well. This is a fun introduction to a new cultural folktale that kids are sure to have fun with.
