Are you the type of person who loves to get into the holiday spirit? The Holiday Doodle Stocking is the perfect introduction to "Doodle" knitting, including how to choose charts, mix and match designs, and create a beautiful stocking that will add warmth and cheer to your home this winter season.

The pattern is designed to use up scraps and stash yarn, so this the perfect class for an end-of-year clear out of all those bits of yarn you have leftover.

In this class, you’ll learn how to knit a unique colorwork stocking with your choice of motifs and colors, as well as covering basic stocking techniques. Knit an heirloom holiday stocking for each member of your family, with colors and designs all their own!

What you need to know and be comfortable completing without help from the instructor (or you're willing to learn before this class): knit, purl, knitting in a small circumference, basics of stranded colorwork 

What you'll learn in this class: how to use Doodle charts, mock short row heel, Kitchener stitch for the toe

Required Materials:

Yarn: Each stocking is an excellent way to use up DK weight scraps from your stash mixed with fun additions. 

• Main Color: 160 to 225 yds DK weight yarn
  
• Contrast Colors (total): 215 to 295 yds DK weight yarn
  

Recommended yarns from the shop: Muse & Method The To-Go Full Skeins & Minis, Malabrigo Rios, West Yorkshire Spinners BFL, Herriot 

Needles:

• US 4 16" and 40" needles for working the body and heel
• US 4 DPNs for the toe
  

Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, a way to track charts (either printed pattern or an ipad)

• Three 2-hour class sessions with expert instruction by Theresa
• The Holiday Doodle Stocking pattern (PDF via email & in your Ravelry library)
