A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE PARABELLUM PISTOL

PARABELLUM, a word that has been a household name for generations, a name for a pistol with a legendary myth and shrouded in legend.

The meteoric rise of this pistol began around the turn of the century, and over four decades it spread throughout the world. It found its way into the armies of many countries as a service weapon, as a service weapon for police authorities, as an excellent target weapon for sport shooters, and as a defensive weapon for private individuals. It was carried as a service weapon in two world wars. Armies of smaller countries still use it today. Parabellum pistols are now well-kept treasures among gun collectors on all continents of the world; Parabellum pistols rarely change hands from one collection to another at high prices. Several books have been written about it, and weapons historians are still trying to shed light on unexplained chapters in the history of this pistol.

This article attempts to provide a brief overview of the history, development, and distribution of the Parabellum pistol for those generally interested in weapons.

The archives of the companies that produced the Parabellum pistol and the archives of the countries where the Parabellum pistol was introduced as a service weapon could provide the basis for research into the development and distribution of this pistol. Unfortunately, these sources have largely dried up. Due to the effects of the war, all documents were lost at the German Weapons and Ammunition Factories in Berlin, the Royal Rifle Factory in Erfurt, the Mauser Works in Oberndorf, and ultimately also at the Simson and Krieghoff Works in Suhl. The records at the Royal Prussian Rifle Testing Commission in Potsdam were burned in 1945, and the documents of the German Navy's Weapons Office were lost, with few exceptions. Rarely do we find circumstances like those in Switzerland, where the state archives contain complete records and offer a treasure trove for weapons historians.

Thus, it was essentially left to weapons historians and Parabellum enthusiasts to piece together the historical mosaic, interviewing people who had previously been directly involved in production or distribution, locating surviving documents, or even gaining an overview based on the inscriptions, serial numbers, and other markings on the Parabellum pistols still in existence today, ultimately gaining a somewhat coherent picture of the design, production from beginning to end, and even distribution.

Nice
Color: 01 - White, Size: King (108" X 90")
This blanket is generously sized and soft. I deducted one star because a small portion of the furry side came out matted after washing. It isn't really noticeable but something to be aware of. Probably best dried on low heat.

Not ultra dense, but very soft and cozy
Color: 03 - Beige, Size: Throw (50" X 60")
This is a really nice throw. It’s very soft and cozy, and for the price, I think it’s a great value. I like the sewn-in label too. It gives it a slightly more high-end look compared to the more generic fuzzy blankets you see everywhere now. The texture is a little different from some faux fur blankets I’ve had. It’s not that super dense, ultra-short type where you can’t really see the fibers. This one has a bit more length to the pile, so you can see the strands more. It’s more like a thicker but slightly airy kind of softness, and it’s really nice on my skin. It’s really, really cozy to snuggle up with. 👋 One thing I always recommend with blankets like this—no matter the brand—is do not put it in the dryer. Even on low, the heat and tumbling will start to change the texture. If you want it to stay as soft as it is when you first get it, wash it gently and let it air dry. The reason is all faux fur is made from very fine synthetic fibers (basically plastic). Even low heat and the tumbling action can cause those fibers to start to stiffen, flatten, or slightly melt together over time. Once that happens, it loses that soft, fluffy texture and you can’t really get it back. I think this would make a great gift, and it’s hard to find a faux fur blanket this soft at this price point. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super soft! Love this!
Color: 03 - Beige, Size: Throw (50" X 60")
This GentleSoft Luxury Faux Fur Throw Blanket is a cozy and stylish addition to any living space. The faux fur texture feels incredibly soft and plush, giving it a luxurious feel that’s perfect for curling up on the couch, adding extra warmth to a bed, or simply elevating room décor. The beige color is neutral and elegant, blending easily with a variety of home styles. Despite its fluffy, shaggy appearance, it feels lightweight while still providing excellent warmth and comfort. The 50x60-inch size is ideal for personal use while relaxing, reading, or watching TV. It also makes a thoughtful gift thanks to its soft feel and attractive presentation. Overall, this blanket offers a great mix of comfort, warmth, and decorative appeal at a very nice value. My suggestion is to not dry it.

So Good I Need Even More!!
Color: 03 - Beige, Size: Throw (50" X 60")
This is one of the softest most luxurious blankets I have ever found!! Absolutely beyond compare. Lovely and comfy, it’s beyond a steal of a deal. It doesn’t fall apart or tear, and it holds form after wash instead of shrinking. I need more!!
