German Mining Association Dress Uniform Grouping-This type of dress uniform was utilized starting around 1930. I am assuming that this is for some type of leader as the epaulets are black velvet with black cloth tassels and thick gold bullion stripes. Also seen are thick gold bullion crossed hammers on the beautiful black velvet collar. The uniform itself is produced in a heavy black cotton that is very soft. It is a bit faded but otherwise in great shape. There is a short black cloth cloak sewn to the back of the collar. There are twin rows of five buttons produced in brass with crossed hammers over black velvet striping. There is a nine button closure and the buttons are larger versions of the ones just mentioned. The cuffs are also black velvet. The interior is fully lined in black rayon that is in fine condition. There is a single pocket on the left side. The jacket is a size medium. Next up, the straight legged trousers which are produced in a heavy black wool. They are in very good condition with elasticized straps for the heels, slash type hip pockets and a three button fly with a pair of additional buttons at the waist. There is a small tear in the crotch at the bottom of the fly.  There is a vintage (old but probably not period) black leather belt and a really neat 1873 one florin coin from Austro Hungary that was fashioned into a pendant suspended by a belt loop. The waist is a size 30 and these are 41” in overall length. Nice!
