OriginNative to the Indo-Pacific region, particularly around Fiji, Tonga, and the Great Barrier Reef, the Candy Hogfish inhabits coral reefs and rocky slopes, where it actively forages among crevices for small crustaceans and invertebrates.
FeedingA carnivorous species, the Candy Hogfish thrives on a diet of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality frozen or prepared marine diets. Feed small portions two to three times per day to maintain its vibrant color and energy.
