The Story behind this basket:
NGWAO BOSWA (Gomare Botswana)
This basket is made by Ngapambe

In 1986 around 40 basket weavers united in Gumare to form a cooperative called Ngwao Boswa, which means "A Traditional You Have Inherited”. Twice a week they met for basket weaving at their house in Gomare village, from where they also sell their baskets.
Basketry in Gomare is, as in other remote rural areas, an ancient agricultural craft. The basket weavers, who are mainly women use locally gathered natural materials. Formerly the baskets were, and some still are, made for utilitarian domestic needs.
There are different  basic shapes woven in different techniques which are determined by their particular purpose, usually storage or transport of grain, beer and herbs. The symbolic patterns crafted through  generations are related to nature or legends.

The Illustrations are Sweet, Storyline… Great!
Format: Board book
This book is sturdy and has a wonderful message. My grandchildren love it! If you are the one who presents 2 children in a classroom or other setting, most children will really love this book. The durability of the book is great. The illustrations are sweet. The review platform does not allow for me to enter an age span. It does not allow for me to enter multiple ages. It seems to force you to Select one age. I would say that having raised children of my own, I would start reading this book by one years old, but the average child I guess would best benefit with between ages like two and four. The book could be read up to people who are like six years old if they just love a sweet bedtime story.

The activities were grade appropriate, the colors and pictures were lovely and it was easy to jump around so the book didn't become too much of a chore.
