Overview:The Dwarf Red & Blue Pipefish is a captivating, slender fish with vivid red and blue horizontal stripes along its body, giving it a striking and unique appearance. Known for their distinctive elongated bodies and tube-like snouts, pipefish belong to the same family as seahorses and are adored by aquarists for their unusual beauty and charming behavior. However, these fish can be challenging to care for, requiring specialized diets and an optimal, stable environment.
Origin:
Dwarf Red & Blue Pipefish are found in tropical waters across the Indo-Pacific region, particularly in coral reefs and rocky coastal zones from the Philippines to Fiji. They tend to inhabit calm lagoons, coral crevices, and areas with abundant live rock, which provide them with protection and foraging grounds.
Feeding:
These pipefish are carnivorous, feeding primarily on small invertebrates, copepods, amphipods, and other microfauna in the wild. In a home aquarium, they require a steady diet of live foods like brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, or copepods. They may adapt to frozen foods over time, but live foods are essential, especially when first introduced. Due to their dietary needs, they may need multiple small feedings throughout the day.
Tank Mates:
Dwarf Red & Blue Pipefish are best housed with other peaceful and gentle fish that won’t outcompete them for food. Ideal tank mates include smaller, non-aggressive species such as gobies, seahorses, and other peaceful reef fish. Avoid keeping them with aggressive or fast-swimming fish, as these can cause stress and may prevent the pipefish from accessing food.
Aggression:
These pipefish are very peaceful and non-aggressive, even toward their own species, and can sometimes be shy in a community setting. They are likely to exhibit more confidence in a tank with plenty of hiding spots and calm tank mates. In a species-only tank or with other slow-moving fish, they can be seen displaying their natural foraging behaviors without stress.
Experience Level:
Due to their specialized feeding requirements and need for stable water conditions, Dwarf Red & Blue Pipefish are best suited for experienced aquarists who can consistently provide live or prepared food and maintain stable, high-quality water conditions. Beginners may find their care challenging because of these requirements.
Water Parameters:
Tank Size: Minimum of 30 gallons (113 liters), preferably with live rock and ample hiding spaces
Temperature: 72-78°F (22-26°C)
pH: 8.1-8.4
Salinity: 1.020-1.025 specific gravity
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate: Ammonia and nitrite should be at zero, nitrate below 10 ppm
Additional Notes:
Dwarf Red & Blue Pipefish are very sensitive to water quality and sudden changes, making regular water testing and maintenance crucial. A peaceful and stable tank environment with plenty of live rock will provide them with places to hide and forage, helping reduce stress.

Decent quality for the price
Color: Grey
Decent quality for the price. Other privacy screens were extremely out of my budget, but this looks and works just fine- I just needed something simple to place behind my couch to hide some clutter. It took me about a half hour to assemble, but it was easy enough.
It might be due to my carpeting, but I don't trust that the screen would be stable enough to stand freely without falling. Thankfully my
plan all along was to wedge the screen between the couch and a box of clutter anyway, so for me it works as l'd planned!

Overpriced but effective.
Color: Cream
I happened to get lucky and get a warehouse deal at an additional 30% discount. Even at $25, it feels a little overpriced. But it was easy to assemble and serves its purpose. If you line the Velcro up exactly, the panels sag, if you stretch past even, but where it still grips, they look pretty ok. It is very light and does fold very compact for easy storage.

Great price for a great product
Color: Coal Black
Excellent quality and great price to boot. Easy to assemble and folds up easily to be stored. We are using it as a privacy screen when we have company that needs to sleep on the couch and also to block off a hallway leading to a guest suite. It looks great and is as described in the ad

No.
Color: Coal Black, Color: Coal Black
This was horribly made and a nightmare to put together. You have to basically bend the bars to get the coverings attached. The sizes don't match. The stickers that label the parts are impossible to remove and if you do get them off theres a lot of residue left behind. On top of that once it was put together I noticed theres a big dirty foot print on it which is definitely not mine.

You have to add weight to it
Color: Coal Black
It does its job and it was easy to put together but it's a little on the flimsy side and it will easily be knocked down. So you're going to have to figure out a way to make the legs heavier? I used cinder blocks, single cinder blocks and it works just fine. Just know that it will knock over super easy
