Our handmade Yoshihiro Honyaki knives are forged with extraordinary skill, employing traditional methods passed down through generations of Japanese swordsmiths. Honyaki translates to "true forged," symbolizing the pinnacle of Japanese knife craftsmanship. Each knife is crafted from a single piece of White Steel #1, boasting a hardness of 65 on the Rockwell scale. The forging process involves heating the steel in furnaces that reach thousands of degrees before quenching it in cool water, ensuring unparalleled strength and sharpness. This technique results in knives of the highest caliber that perfectly blend aesthetics and performance.
The Yoshihiro Honyaki Yanagi Kiritsuke is complemented by a traditional Japanese-style handcrafted premium Ebony wood handle, which is securely affixed with a Water Buffalo horn bolster and a Triple Nickel Silver Ring.
