The Panasonic Lumix S 35mm f/1.8 Lens (S-S35) is a versatile, fast prime lens designed for L-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. With a 35mm focal length and a bright f/1.8 aperture, this lens is perfect for a wide variety of photography, including street photography, environmental portraits, landscapes, and everyday snapshots. Part of Panasonic’s f/1.8 prime series, the 35mm f/1.8 maintains a balance of compact size, excellent optical performance, and affordability, making it a great choice for both enthusiasts and professionals.

Key Features:

  1. 35mm Focal Length:

    • The 35mm focal length is known for its versatility, offering a wide yet natural perspective that’s great for street photography, documentary work, travel, and environmental portraits. It captures more of the scene than a 50mm but without the distortion associated with wider lenses, making it a popular focal length for all-around shooting.
  2. Bright f/1.8 Aperture:

    • The fast f/1.8 maximum aperture allows for shooting in low-light conditions and provides excellent depth-of-field control. You can create beautifully defocused backgrounds with smooth bokeh, which helps isolate your subject for more creative compositions.
  3. Compact and Lightweight Design:

    • Weighing just 295g (10.4 oz), this lens is incredibly portable and pairs well with mirrorless cameras, making it an ideal option for travel and on-the-go photography. Its small form factor makes it easy to carry and use without adding bulk to your camera setup.
  4. High-Quality Optical Design:

    • The lens features 11 elements in 9 groups, including 3 aspherical elements and 1 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) element. These elements minimize chromatic aberrations, distortion, and fringing, ensuring sharp and detailed images with accurate color reproduction, even when shooting wide open.
  5. Fast and Quiet Autofocus:

    • Equipped with a linear autofocus motor, the lens delivers fast, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance, making it suitable for both photography and video. The quiet autofocus is especially important when shooting video, as it prevents focus noise from being picked up by microphones.
  6. Weather-Sealed Build:

    • The dust, splash, and freeze-resistant design ensures reliable performance in challenging outdoor conditions. The lens is built to operate in temperatures as low as -10°C (14°F), making it a durable choice for photographers who shoot in a variety of environments.
  7. 9-Blade Rounded Diaphragm:

    • The lens features a 9-blade rounded diaphragm, contributing to soft, creamy bokeh in out-of-focus areas, which enhances the subject-background separation in portraits and close-ups.
  8. Minimal Focus Breathing for Video:

    • Designed with videographers in mind, the lens exhibits minimal focus breathing, meaning the change in angle of view while focusing is minimized, resulting in smoother focus transitions during video recording.
  9. Part of the f/1.8 Prime Series:

    • The 35mm f/1.8 lens is part of Panasonic’s f/1.8 prime series, which includes lenses with focal lengths of 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm. These lenses share similar dimensions and handling, making it easier for photographers to switch between them without adjusting their workflow.

Why call it "Grovel" when there is no actual groveling?
Format: Kindle
I'm so confused by this story. The title of the book is Grovel and yet the MMCs do not do any groveling at all. They reject her, say mean/cruel things to her and break her heart, but then do nothing to make up for it when she comes back to town. I couldn't stand Frost; the way that he treated her, and women in general, the things that he said to her just gave no reason for why he should be forgiven or be allowed back into Noelle's life. The interactions with Robin and Shepard were a little better, but nothing about this story showed me why she should forgive them and get back together with them. This was a good premise, but very poor execution of a story line. I felt bad for Noelle and what she had been through with these men, but wanted better for her and wished that she could have found a different pack that would actually treat her right and not blame her for the choices that their mother made. In the end, this book just wasn't for me. I liked the character of Nana, I even liked Noelle's parents and felt bad for what Noelle had to deal with, but I just didn't care for the supposed romance that this book was about. Maybe others will enjoy it, but I'll probably pass on any other stories from this author. I gave it 2.75 stars, but rounded up since Amazon doesn't allow partial stars.

The grovel wasn’t groveling.
Format: Kindle
Oh no, if you’re going to promise grovel, you better deliver. And unfortunately… this one fumbled the assignment. Three Alphas who rejected their scent match, broke her heart, and let her walk away for ten years, only to realize she was “the one suddenly”? I was ready for emotional devastation and tearful, knees-in-the-snow apologies. But here’s the problem: the grovel just didn’t hit hard enough. For a betrayal that deep, the emotional payoff felt rushed. The Alphas express regret, sure, but it never quite reaches that gut-wrenching, ache-for-it level you expect from a story built entirely on redemption. Their apologies come, but they lack the prolonged suffering, the desperate proving, the earn it or lose her forever energy that would’ve made this unforgettable. After ten years of heartbreak and abandonment, Noelle's forgiveness comes a little too easily, a little too quickly. You can feel the story nudging her toward reconciliation before the emotional scales are fully balanced. The chemistry is still there, the tension still simmers, and the small-town winter vibes are undeniably cozy, but for a book titled Grovel, the emotional reckoning needed to be deeper, messier, and far more punishing. A compelling setup with plenty of angst and longing, but if you’re here for hardcore grovel and slow-earned forgiveness, this one might leave you wanting more.
