- Bare Bones Maker Kit: Includes all the electronics, servo motors, screws, and other items for the robot and gamepad, but you must 3D print the plastic parts yourself. Does not include USB cord, magnets for games, or sensors for programming experiments. It's the bare minimum to make the robot and gamepad function, assuming you can 3D print all the parts yourself.
- QuickBuild Maker Kit: Has everything in the Bare Bones Maker Kit but also all electrical wiring is already completed and tested, and additional items are included: light sensor, ultrasonic rangefinder sensor, programming cable, extra magnets for accessories like Joust. The pre-wired electrical system cuts the build from about two hours to under one hour and also eliminates wiring errors.
- QuickBuild Complete Kit: Has everything in the QuickBuild Maker Kit plus all the 3D printed plastic parts for the hexapod robot, gamepad, and accessories for games like Joust, Capture the Flag, Fidget Spinner Challenge, and sensor housings. You can assemble in less than one hour with our QuickBuild system.
- Assembled and Tested: The hexapod robot, gamepad, and all accessories are fully assembled and tested. Just add batteries and you're ready to go! This even comes with a nice plastic shoe box sized storage container that neatly fits the robot, gamepad, batteries, charger, and all accessories to keep your robot safe.

FEATURES

All our kits are protected against reverse-battery insertion, making it far more kid-friendly than older versions of the project.

The Bare Bones Maker Kit is the same except it is missing some of the items on the bottom row (ultrasonic sensor, light sensor, USB cable, and some screws and magnets for accessories).
WHAT'S NOT IN THE BOX
- Batteries. The hexapod requires two 18650 LI-ON batteries and compatible smart charger. These are available from many sources. There are low cost bundles of two EBL 3000 mAh batteries plus charger available on Walmart.com and Ebay. We recommend the "white top" EBL batteries, not the "yellow top" protected version. The gamepad takes any kind of standard 9v rectangular batter, either rechargeable or disposable work fine.
IMPORTANT NOTES
The plastic parts included in Complete kits are 3D printed. The 3D printing process naturally results in a textured, layered surface that is not smooth. There may be minor imperfections such as threads of plastic or small drips. These will not impact the usability of the product.

Perfect Sofa-Side Charging Hub

I picked this power strip mainly to use next to my sofa, where I usually charge my tablet, phone, and laptop while relaxing in the evening. Having 11 AC outlets and multiple USB ports in one place has made that corner much more organized, and I no longer have chargers scattered everywhere.
The layout is well thought out. Larger plugs don't block neighboring outlets, and the flat angled plug fits nicely behind furniture. The 5-foot cord gives enough flexibility to position the strip where it's most convenient. I also like having both USB-A and USB-C ports available for smaller devices. For phones, tablets, earbuds, and similar electronics, the built-in USB ports have been very useful.
For my everyday use, charging personal devices and powering small electronics, the unit has performed as expected. The overload protection switch and built-in safety features provide additional peace of mind.
Overall, this has been a practical solution for adding more outlets to an older two-prong receptacle while keeping my charging area tidy and easy to access.

Major Safety Red Flag! 3 Prong Outlets, 2 Prong Plug, This Does Not Provide A Grounded Connection!

This power strip has a compact design, a convenient outlet layout, and USB ports, so on the surface it looks useful. The patented three-row layout is clever for spacing the outlets, but that only applies to how the outlets are positioned. It does not change how the strip is actually powered or protected.
The problem is the safety design. It has 11 three-prong outlets, but the wall plug itself is only two-prong. Without a ground prong, it is not grounded. The two flat prongs are hot and neutral only, so this does not provide the grounded protection that the three-prong outlets appear to suggest.
That also makes the surge protection claims highly questionable to me. A real grounded surge protector should have a grounding path for excess surge energy. With only a two-prong plug, I would not trust this to provide the kind of surge protection people generally expect when plugging in electronics or grounded devices.
The manual mentions surge protection, ground protection, short-circuit protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, over-heat protection, and UL 1363 safety standards, but I could not find any visible UL, ETL, or similar safety certification mark on the unit or paperwork. The only marking I saw was FCC, which is not the same thing as electrical safety certification. Given the two-prong plug and three-prong outlets, those protection claims feel dubious at best and misleading at worst.
The USB charging is also underwhelming. The total USB output is listed as 24W, which is not much for today’s devices, especially when that power is shared across multiple ports. We frequently use 35W or higher from a single USB charger, so I would not buy this for fast or modern device charging either.
Because of the two-prong plug paired with three-prong outlets, I will absolutely not use this. I do not want a power strip that makes devices appear protected or grounded when they are not. For me, this is not a small design issue. It is a serious safety concern.

Convenient Design but Raises Some Safety Concerns

As other reviews have mentioned, this power strip does not provide true grounding protection. It allows devices with three-prong plugs to connect through a two-prong wall outlet, but the strip itself still relies on a two-prong connection. Because of that, I think it’s important to understand the potential safety limitations before using it, especially with higher-powered electronics.
It does offer a large number of outlets and USB ports, which is convenient for older homes with limited access to modern plugs. However, considering the price, there are safer and more reliable alternatives available that may be a better long-term choice.

Good Buy - 4 USB Ports (USB C) Hurray! - Fits Well In Cable Management Box - Long Flat (!!!) Cord

Good Product. I have 16 x 6 x 5 cable management boxes. This is the first power strip that I have found with 4 USB ports with USB C. Because it is a single row of outlets, the power supplies for 2 laptops fit in the box. I have those, a lamp, phone, and iPAD, with 1 extra USB and 1 USB C cord plugged in. The low profile inside the larger ventilated box keeps things from overheating. It has taken a bit of adjusting to get everybody in the right place but it works great. The flat cable is smart. It fits under the corner of the rug without leaving a bump.

Great for Any Inside Area

I bought two of these these for my office at work and the power is unstable and there are not many outlets (work for the schools) and the building is old - built in 1977. These have done the trick and I have had no issues with my electronics.
