Setup Recommendations
This coop is made from wood and will be outdoors full-time.
Applying a stain, paint, or protective finish after assembly is strongly recommended.
The factory coating is a base layer and is not designed for long-term weather protection.
Anchoring the coop with stakes or ground anchors is also recommended for stability.
Predator protection varies by location. Some setups may require additional wire, barriers, or electric fencing depending on local conditions.

Assembly & Shipping Details
Assembly is simple and usually takes about 3 hours. It’s even easier with two people, and all you need is a power drill—every hole is already pre-drilled for you.
Your coop will arrive in 3 to 6 boxes, depending on the model. Most coops and runs ship with FedEx and typically arrive within 3–5 days after you place your order. The larger Brahma Coop ships on a pallet by freight (LTL) and usually arrives within 5–9 days, depending on your location.
Can You Paint This Coop?
Yes—you absolutely can. Each coop comes with two coats of water-based stain already applied, which helps protect the wood right out of the box.
If you’d prefer a different color or want to match your home or yard, you can paint over it without any issues. The surface is ready for paint, making it an easy and flexible option for customization.
Whether you keep the natural stained look or choose your own color, your coop will stay protected and look great in your space.
