The forces of light and darkness intertwine, OPENING THE GATES OF CHAOS!
Get ready for the Duel of your life! Chaos Origins brings back the one-and-only legendary King of Games, with some of his favorite monsters from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime! Featuring Yami Yugi on the pack and box, this new 100-card booster set reimagines monsters like Black Luster Soldier and Magician of Black Chaos, with powerful new effects designed to compete in today’s tournaments. Plus, FIVE frame-breaking extended art cards that will bring your Duels to life like never before!
The Ritual Monsters that Started it All – Reimagined!
Look for new versions of the original Ritual Monsters: Magician of Black Chaos and Black Luster Soldier, plus a new Ritual Spell Card to Summon either of them!
- Both monsters are unaffected by your opponent’s activated, non-targeted effects.
- New Magician of Black Chaos blocks your opponent from destroying or banishing your Spells & Traps.
- New Black Luster Soldier cannot be destroyed by battle.
- New Magician of Black Chaos grabs a Spell Card from your Graveyard, when Summoned.
- New Magician of Black Chaos can banish 1 opponent’s card, each turn.
- New Black Luster Soldier banishes 1 opponent’s card, when Summoned.
- New Black Luster Soldier gains 1500 ATK when it destroys an opponent’s monster by battle, and can attack again.
- One dual-purpose Ritual Spell lets you access either monster.
- The Ritual Spell can return to your hand from the Graveyard, along with any monster that mentions it. (All of Yugi’s monsters in this set mention it!)
- Both monsters are available in extended art and regular versions!
New Versions of Yugi’s Most Famous Monsters
- Summoned Skull is back and ready to unleash chaos! Now he can send a Ritual Spell from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, then add the matching Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand!
- Celtic Guardian has learned many new abilities, including one that lets you draw 3 cards, then discard 2 cards!
- Kuriboh is looking cute as a button with a Griffore costume! It can protect your Life Points like original Kuriboh (including effect damage, this time!), count itself for the entire Tribute for the Ritual Summon of a Level 8 monster, or even set 1 Quick-Play Spell or Trap that mentions the set’s brand-new Ritual Spell Card (described above).
Revenge of the "Sacred Beasts"!
But there’s more to Chaos Origins than that! After all, the original storyline of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX focused on the three Sacred Beasts, and they’re back, more powerful than ever!
The new versions of the Sacred Beasts themselves cannot be Summoned except by a “Sacred Beast” card effect. But the set has so many of those, Summoning them is easier than ever! Each one also has improved versions of their original powers:
- You can reveal each from your hand to add a “Sacred Beast” card from your Deck to your hand. Uria grabs Traps, Hamon grabs Spells, Raviel grabs monsters.
- Uria gains ATK for each Trap in any Graveyard (not just Continuous Traps in your Graveyard) and can destroy any Spell/Trap on the field (not just face-down Spells/Traps).
- Hamon does 1000 damage to your opponent when a monster is sent to their Graveyard, not just when Hamon destroys a monster by battle.
- Raviel, instead of Tributing a monster and gaining its ATK, Tributes 2 monsters to wipe out all your opponent’s monsters and gain 1000 ATK for each monster destroyed!
Special Summoning the Sacred Beasts is easier than ever, thanks to their new Level 8 “Sacred Beast” helper. He does only one thing: He Special Summons “Sacred Beasts”. But he does it well, and he can do it from anywhere!
- While in your hand, reveal him to Special Summon a “Sacred Beast” from your hand.
- While on the field, use him to Special Summon a “Sacred Beast” from your hand or Graveyard.
- While in the Graveyard, banish him to Special Summon a “Sacred Beast” from your Graveyard.
There’s plenty more support for Sacred Beasts, too. Their new Field Spell lets you send 3 cards to the Graveyard to Special Summon a “Sacred Beast” from your hand, Deck, Graveyard, or banishment, and make it immune to your opponent’s activated Spell & Trap effects, too! Plus, it lets you draw TWO cards per turn if you control one of the Level 10 Sacred Beasts!
And that’s just the start. Time to get ripped and channel your inner Kagemaru!
Blitzclique Rules
The Blitzclique family eke out a meager existence on a city floating in the sky. You, too, can play this brand-new theme of Thunder scavengers!
The core “Blitzclique” monsters all have effects that activate in your hand to destroy something, and then either Special Summon themselves or another “Blitzclique” monster from your hand. Then all your “Blitzclique” monsters that were already on the field to see the card get destroyed can pick up the pieces and fashion them into loot, by adding more “Blitzclique” cards to your hand! (The type of card you get depends on which monster is doing the looting!)
They’re led into battle by their older leader who can Summon up to 3 Thunder monsters from your hand at once. And he always makes sure they get home safely by returning another Thunder monster to hand to negate the effect of another monster!
You might ask, “Where is home?” It’s their Field Spell! When the uncontrollable mech beasts emerge from the sands below, the Blitzclique family springs into action, calling up the right member for the job from your Deck to your hand and sending them off into battle with an extra 500 ATK/DEF!
It’s Time to En Passant!
In a booster set dedicated to the King of Games, we just had to have a theme dedicated to one of the world’s oldest games: chess!
That big floating chessboard in the sky is the centerpiece of a new world premiere theme that will make your head spin. Like chess itself, this will be a lot to wrap your head around at first, so we’re going to avoid using full card names and use some simple piece names, instead.
The chess theme is one of those rare themes that has no Main Deck monsters. Instead, it has Spells, Traps, and Synchro Monsters! It also works heavily with placing its Monster Cards into the Spell & Trap Zones. There are currently 4 chess monsters: ‘king’ (Level 10), ‘rook’ (Level 8), ‘knight’ (Level 7) – all with plenty of Attack Points! – and the ‘pawn’ (Level 2, and also a Tuner). All are Synchro Monsters. Here’s how it works:
- The chessboard Field Spell lets you Summon a Level 2 chess piece (a ‘pawn’) directly from your Extra Deck each turn, and place a chessman from the Extra Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone.
- Except for the ‘pawn,’ chessmen have effects that activate when placed in the Spell & Trap Zone. The ‘knight’ adds a chess Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. The ‘king’ adds a chess Trap Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. And the ‘rook’ sort of ‘castles’ to place a ‘king’ from your Extra Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone.
- While they’re sitting in your Spell & Trap Zone, these pieces also have extra abilities. The ‘knight’ does 500 damage to your opponent each time they activate a card or effect. The ‘king’ limits your opponent to just 5 monster effects per turn. And the ‘rook’ protects all your chess cards from being destroyed by your opponent’s card effects.
- While they’re monsters, each chessman can banish another card from the field (generally an opponent’s monster). And if the ‘pawn’ uses this ability, it gets promoted by crossing over to your opponent’s field, returning to your Extra Deck, and Special Summoning any chess piece from your Extra Deck. (That’s one way to Special Summon your non-‘pawn’ chessmen.)
- If a chessman Monster Card you control is destroyed (even if it’s in the Spell & Trap Zone), the chessboard Field Spell lets you return any chessman in your Spell & Trap Zone to the Extra Deck, then immediately Special Summon it. (That’s a second way to Special Summon your non-‘pawn’ chessmen.)
- Chess pieces have no special Summoning restrictions, so you can also Synchro Summon them like any other Synchro Monster.
Got all that? Don’t worry, the club meets after school if you need a refresher course.
One other thing. Just like how chess has special opening moves, so do the chessmen. This special Trap Card lets you:
- Place a ‘chessboard’ Field Spell from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, to the field, to get you started, AND
- Special Summons a Level 2 or 7 chessman (‘pawn’ or ‘knight’) to the Extra Monster Zone, AND
- Places 1 chessman from your Extra Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone, AND
- If your opponent goes first, you can activate this Trap from your hand during their Standby Phase. Checkmate!
Another cool world premiere card is this new Level 8 Tuner monster. It’s not a chessman, but it works perfectly with the chess strategy.
- You can Special Summon this monster from your hand if there’s a Synchro Monster in your field or Graveyard.
- When Summoned, you can place up to 3 different Synchro Monsters from your Extra Deck and/or Graveyard into your Spell & Trap Card Zone. You also get a bonus Token monster with a Level equal to the number of Synchro Monsters you placed.
While it works with any Synchro Monster, this Tuner goes especially well with chessmen.
As an extra special bonus, this monster is available in Chaos Origins as an extended art card!
Chaos Origins contains:
10 Secret Rares
14 Ultra Rares
26 Super Rares
50 Commons
5 cards available as extended art Ultra Rares and Starlight Rares
20 additional cards available as Starlight Rares

LOVED THIS BOOK!!
Format: Kindle
*NO SPOILERS PART OF MY REVIEW*
I was eagerly anticipating this book ever since I learned it was coming out! I watched so many TikToks about this series and it made me feel so validated in my obsession for the Off Campus series and the OC couples. Therefore, I could not wait to read The Legacy as soon as it came out. I refreshed my Kindle app and there it was! I read all night, and slept for maybe 1 hour but I finished the book within 12 hours of it being released. I was SO pleased. This book was fabulous. Though it is 4 novellas (one for each couple) Elle Kennedy did an amazing job of weaving the four stories together and making it seamless. I really appreciated the continuity throughout the whole book. Seeing the group's dynamic was a total highlight of this book. I absolutely loved that we got to see their messages in the group chat and see how their friendships have stood the test of time and distance after their college days are over. I LOVED seeing the mentions of other characters in the Briar U/ Off-Campus universe as well. It reminded me of why I love this series so much. One thing, not a real spoiler but the epilogue is only about one couple, not all 4 like I had hoped and expected. I really hope we see more from the Off-Campus/Briar U universe in the future. If you love this series, you will really enjoy this book.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING THE WHOLE SERIES. IN ORDER. INCLUDING THIS AMAZING BOOK.
****CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD****
I appreciated that Elle Kennedy added more to Grace and Logan's story given that a version of it was already published 2 years ago (?). I really liked their story. At first I was a little annoyed that it ended on sort of a cliff hanger, but once I read the whole book, it made sense because other novellas in this book ended the same way.
Allie and Dean are my favorite couple in the Off-Campus series, followed by Hannah and Garrett. Allie and Dean's story in this book was great. I really loved getting to see them together again. The main conflict/ problem in their story was surprising to me. Allie's hesitation about engagement, wedding, babies, seemed a little bit uncharacteristic of her. She is SUCH a hopeless romantic, that seeing her be apprehensive about all of those things was confusing for me as a reader and a fan. But overall, I really enjoyed seeing Dean and Allie again. I love Dean so much. He is such an innately good person and so is Allie. I'm sad that there was no "glimpse into the future" for A&D in the epilogue because I would have LOVED to see them start a little family and maybe name their son Beau since Beau Maxwell was such a big part of their story. Sabrina and Tucker's story was also great. I appreciated that the author gave them a conflict in this book that in my opinion was never really resolved/addressed in The Goal. Their communication skills as a couple was beyond bad and frustrating! Tucker's admission to Sabrina that he is unhappy in his job coming as a surprise to Sabrina was bizarre. I enjoyed seeing them as parents to a toddler, so cute! Finally, Hannah and Garrett. The original Off-Campus couple. The people that started it all. I appreciated the premise of their novella, but bringing Garrett's abusive father back into the storyline, but only in a novella was unfair. There is SO SO SO much to say and unpack with regards to that. Shoehorning it into a brief novella was frustrating as a reader because it felt like that needed to be a whole full-length book itself. And Hannah holding off on telling Garrett about the pregnancy was also strange and unlike them. Garrett switching his opinion so quickly about being a dad was way too rushed. I feel like they were a couple who was pretty good at communication so seeing how Hannah handled this situation in this book was surprising. I would have really loved to see Garrett acknowledging that he has a lot of childhood trauma to work through and process in therapy! That would have been some real character development for him. Also, the lack of a wedding for them was upsetting because I feel like they deserve that and as a reader, I would have loved to see thatI!! Lastly, The epilogue was also a bit of a let down as I expected it to be a flash forward for all 4 couples, but it was just for Hannah and Garrett and it wasn't really a flash forward at all.
*END OF SPOILERS*
READ THIS BOOK!!! THANK YOU ELLE KENNEDY!!!!

Epilogues that left me wanting more
Format: Paperback
Book Review *minor spoilers*
3.5 stars
I absolutely ADORE the Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy. Every book was fun, spicy, and dealt with real world problems, but with happy ever afters of course!
I was SO excited to read The Legacy. An extended epilogue book dedicated to these characters?? Yes, absolutely love that idea. While it was very fun catching up with our favorite couples and seeing where they're at 2 years after their stories ended in their prospective books, I felt a little let down by most of them.
I think my favorite epilogue story of the 4 couples was Grace and Logan. They kicked off the book with a bang. There was humor, emotions, spice, more humor. Plus the elopement!! I only wish we could have seen that part actually play out instead of a cliffhanger and then hearing about it through other characters later on.
Dean and Allie. Gosh I loved this couple so much; their book (The Score), was my favorite of the original books. But Allie's character frustrated me so much when she didn’t want to accept Dean's proposal! Come ON girl!!
Sabrina and Tucker. Their book was my least favorite of the original books, largely due to the plot focused around her pregnancy. Pregnancy tropes are just not my jam. And again, least favorite epilogue couple. Tucker opening two successful bars in Boston within 2 years - wildly unrealistic. Sabrina graduating Harvard Law while pregnant and raising her daughter; somewhat more realistic. Their story in the epilogue was entertaining, but it just didn’t do it for me.
And Garrett and Hannah. My OG favorite couple. I loved their epilogue. I did not love that Hannah was so afraid to tell Garrett about her surprise pregnancy. But her reasoning was *somewhat* understandable. I will read anything I can get my hands on about this couple. But I just wanted MORE. More with the storyline about Garrett going public about his father's abuse. More about Hannah's career. More about G and H being parents - tell me about their kids! At least what are their names!
Overall it was a fun way to wrap up the series. While I felt left wanting more, it's safe to say I probably wouldn’t ever be fully satisfied. Can Elle Kennedy please just write endless books about this characters? K, thanks bye!

hot hockey players in love ♥️
Format: Kindle
I have enjoyed this series so much 🥰Seeing all my favorite hockey players and their ladies get their HEA in these 4 novellas just made my heart all gooey 😍. I have truly learned to love these characters and the bromance of the hockey players, as well as the sisterhood of the WAGS. I all so glad Elle Kennedy wrote a continuing series 😘. Although my preference is sweet and clean reads, these spicy romances have captured my heart with their plot development and authentic characters. That being said this book, like the others in the series, have strong language and sexually explicit material. For mature audiences only. If you are ok with that, I highly recommend this series 😉

The Perfect Conclusion!
Format: Kindle
I was a little skeptical starting this one cause I’m not usually a novella person. BIG HOWEVER! This was definitely needed because I was already starting to miss the OG Briar kids!
I’m not gonna go into too much detail since this is a spoiler free account, but I’ll just give you my thoughts on each novella:
Logan and Grace:
this one had me kicking my feet, giggling, and SQUEALING! It was so cute from start to finish and of course there was a little spiciness🤭 no complaints about this one!
Dean and Allie:
In the words of Jacob Black- “SHE’S NOT SURE WHAT SHE WANTS” and it irritated the hell out of me🙄 She was absolutely infuriating in this one and couldn’t wait for this part to be over🥲
Tucker and Sabrina:
There’s started off a bit flat if I’m honest. I mean, they were just kind of. . .boring. Which is a shame cause they’re my favorites out of the whole series!😭
Graham and Hannah:
Of course the OGs! Loved their portion of the book, until a certain part happened😐 I feel like Garrett didn’t handle it well, but he made up for it in the end. But this one was also so sweet because it showed how supportive they are to each other in their different careers.
This book wasn’t overly spicy because it was more so about life after the college world experience, which is fine. There was still a fair amount of spice and I loved what I was given!😅
Last thing I’ll say about this book: I did not expect to laugh as hard as I did reading this! I mean I was legitimately CACKLING through this entire book!😂
Overall, I really enjoyed this one and loved seeing what our favorite characters were up to after graduation.
