Jane Burbidge is the artist behind 'Just Jane Ceramics'. Jane draws inspiration from colours, textures and patterns from the natural environment and from the effects that nature has on man made items. Her studio is located in the Adelaide Hills where each piece is designed, made and decorated by Jane creating works which combine quality, function and aesthetics.
Jane uses porcelain for its ability to create fine rimed, lightweight but robust items which are microwave and dishwasher safe as well as being suitable for everyday use. This fineness enhances the translucency of the porcelain and Jane leaves the outer surfaces unglazed to emphasise its intrinsic tactile qualities.
