Tackle caked-on crud with this pair of plastic-free pot scrubbing brushes. Made from sustainable bamboo and natural sisal bristles, they’re an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic scourers. That means they’ll naturally biodegrade (even in your compost heap) and won’t clog up landfills or take centuries to break down like plastic scrubbing brushes.

These kitchen scrubbers come as a pack of two: one with harder bristles for serious scrubbing power and one with softer bristles for when you need a gentler option. But they’re not just for dish duty!

The tougher bristles conquer more stubborn stains like crusty casserole dishes, saucepan scorch marks and burnt-on foods on your pots and pans… Ideal for items that can withstand a good amount of elbow grease, these bristles will vigorously clean dirty crockery, as well as muddy boots!

The softer bristles gently sweep away plate crumbs and residue on glassware and other delicate items. And if you're feeling adventurous, they might even tame unruly beards.

Scrubbing brushes have lots of different uses throughout the home besides the dishes. We also like to use them for cleaning veggies, nails, floors, muddy boots… and even brushing beards or buffing backs!

How to care for your bamboo or wooden utensils and household supplies

Ensuring the longevity of your natural wooden utensils, cleaning tools and household products is key to maintaining their functionality and cost-saving benefits. These sustainable materials, while eco-friendly, are more porous than traditional plastics, making them susceptible to warping and cracking when exposed to water or heat for extended periods.

That means steering clear of the dishwasher and refraining from soaking in water for prolonged periods.

Can you put wooden dish brushes in the dishwasher?

Due to the natural materials, wooden utensils are not suitable for the dishwasher. Although dishwashers seem like a convenient cleaning solution, the high heat and excess moisture inside them can cause irreversible damage to wooden or bamboo products including brushes, scrubbers, lids and chopping boards, so be sure to wash them by hand every time.

How to clean products made from natural materials

Products made from natural materials such as bamboo lids and dish brushes or wooden spoons and chopping boards need a little extra maintenance if you want them to last a long time. Looking after your sustainable cleaning tools and kitchen supplies extends their lifespan and reduces the number of times you need to replace them, saving you more money in the long run.

Always wash wooden or bamboo products by hand in warm soapy water, and remember to dry properly. Don’t use bleach or strong chemical cleaners as this can damage natural products like bamboo and beechwood. We recommend opting for gentle but effective eco-friendly cleaners like our OceanSaver Eco Dish Washing Soap Bar which removes tough stains while preserving natural materials.

How to keep plastic-free dish brushes clean

Sustainable cleaning brushes made from natural sisal and coconut bristles clean just as well as their plastic counterparts but without the environmental damage.

These natural plastic-free bristle brushes are designed to biodegrade and not linger in landfills, but to ensure they remain effective and durable, you need to look after them properly. A good care routine is a great way to maintain your natural brushes and save you money in the long run.

After each use, clean your eco-friendly brushes thoroughly by removing any food bits trapped between the bristles and allow them to dry out completely with the bristles facing down to drain off the water. Avoid leaving the handles of your bamboo dish brushes and pot scrubbers submerged in water for any length of time and keep them away from the dishwasher to prevent damage.

How long do bamboo dish brushes and kitchen tools last?

Bamboo dish brushes and pot scrubbers can last a long time with the right care. Just like your trusty wooden spoon or chopping board, they can survive years and years of use before you need to replace them.

For example, the ecojiko long handle dish brush is designed to last years as the removable brush heads can easily be replaced once they’re worn out.

How often should you replace a bamboo dish brush

Our eco-friendly cleaning brushes and scrubbers can be used for several months before you need to replace them.

With regular use, you may need to change your replaceable dish brush head every 3-6 months, although some people find their bamboo dish brushes and pot scrubbers can last 6-12 months, or even longer in some cases!

If you keep them clean and allow them to dry out properly, your plastic-free kitchen and cleaning tools will do you proud. You can use a gentle disinfectant to prevent bacteria from building up in between uses, too.

When to change your wooden brushes and cleaning tools

You’ll know when it’s time to replace your wooden dish brush or bamboo scrubbing brush when the bristles start showing signs of wear and tear, like fraying or losing their stiffness. Once they begin to bend or fray, it’s a subtle hint that they’ve put in their fair share of cleaning shifts. Keep an eye out for any splits or cracks in the bamboo handles too - that's a cue that it's nearing retirement. When your trusty eco brush starts looking more tired than your post-cleaning self, it might be time to bid adieu and let a fresh one take over the scrubbing duty!

What’s more, those bamboo dish brush heads and pot scrubbers can happily join your compost heap once their cleaning days are over, contributing to nature's cycle instead of cluttering up landfills for centuries like their plastic counterparts. Winner!

Why choose products made from natural materials instead of plastic?

Choosing sustainable cleaning tools and household supplies made from natural, non-plastic materials like bamboo, beechwood, sisal and coconut is a conscious step toward reducing single-use plastic in your household and combatting plastic pollution at a greater scale.

Ecojiko’s cleaning utensils and household products are made from 100% FSC-certified bamboo or beechwood, with natural sisal or coconut bristles on all eco-friendly brushes. This FSC certification means that the bamboo and beechwood used in these products are harvested responsibly without contributing to deforestation, while also supporting plant and animal conservation, local communities, fair wage and work environments.

Plastic-free cleaning tools and kitchen utensils like these will naturally biodegrade rather than lasting centuries in landfill like plastic alternatives. And due to the all-natural materials, you can throw the dish brush heads or scrubbing brushes into the compost once they’re worn out!

What makes bamboo better for the environment?

Despite sharing similar qualities and appearance to wood, bamboo is actually a type of grass. But what makes it such a great alternative to traditional wood?

Bamboo is a renewable crop that’s stronger than your average hardwood and quicker to replenish. It’s durable, recyclable, biodegradable and incredibly sustainable.

In fact, bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet, reaching almost a metre a day! It’s usually harvested every 3-5 years compared to the 40-150 years required to grow trees ready to fell for timber, with no nasty pesticides needed to thrive.

But it gets better than that! Research shows that bamboo absorbs more carbon dioxide (as much as 12 tonnes of CO₂ per hectare per year) and releases 35% more oxygen than traditional timber plantations. Pretty impressive, right?

Exactly what I wanted
This robo-vac works great! Most of the well known products in this category are full of crap that you don't need, or is even spying on you. I'm sorry, but my appliances don't need WIFI, camera's, mapping features and an internet connection to send them to... who??? This unit has everything you need and nothing you don't. I bought it because my dog is shedding like crazy and leaving my floor looking like it needs a haircut. The Eufy has done a great job of picking up ALL of the dog hair, dirt and small particles, and has yet to become clogged. The floor it is cleaning is a linoleum floor that has a low pile rug and it cleans both very well. The Eufy runs for well over an hour and one of the best things about it.... it is VERY quiet. Emptying the dust bin is super easy, and cleaning the filters is very easy as well. The Eufy comes with extra side brushes and an extra roller. I have not had to change any of them yet, but maintenance and cleaning of these items has been made very easy as well. It comes with a well thought out cleaning tool that makes cleaning easy. It has a cutter on it, similar to an envelope opener, that gets under hair that wraps around the roller and and slices it off. This is a problem with ANY vacuum that has a roller, and this tool works very well for this. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect at the price point, but the Eufy works better than the older I-robot I had some time ago and is far easier to maintain. The very first time it ran it was learning the room and did not make it back to the dock, but every use since, it has always gotten back and docked. If you want a robot vac that you can start with a remote or program a schedule in, without WIFI, camera's, and yet another app to install on your phone, I highly recommend the Eufy... you won't be disappointed.

The Silent, Obsessive Predator in the War on Filth: A Dispatch on the eufy L60
Size: eufy L60 SES (renewed)
Dateline: My Living Room Floor, a Battlefield of Invisible Grime, 1:30 AM. The house is quiet. The world is asleep. But in the darkness, a hunter stirs. It detaches itself from its charging dock with a soft, electronic whir, its single laser-eye pulsing with a cool, blue light. This is not a vacuum cleaner. This is the eufy L60, an autonomous, dirt-seeking assassin, and it is beginning its nightly patrol. To call what this machine does "mapping" is a gross understatement. This is military-grade reconnaissance. On its maiden voyage, the L60 didn't just bumble around bumping into things. No, it conducted a systematic, laser-guided survey of my entire living space, rendering a perfect, eerily accurate floor plan on my phone. It knows the terrain. It has identified the chair legs, the table supports, the treacherous geography of the area rug. It has logged the coordinates of every obstacle. It is operating with a level of tactical awareness that would make a special forces operative blush. And then, the hunt begins. With 5,000 Pascals of raw, unadulterated suction power, it doesn't just "pick up" dirt; it inhales it. It moves in straight, deliberate, overlapping lines, a methodical grid search that leaves no square inch un-scoured. Dust, crumbs, the detritus of a life lived with a certain amount of reckless abandon—all of it vanishes into its maw. And hair… good heavens, the hair. It attacks strands of human and pet hair with a special kind of ferocity, its "Hair Detangling Technology" acting like a tiny, internal machete, chopping the stuff up before it can choke the machinery. It is a savage and beautiful solution to an ancient and vexing problem. But the true genius, the feature that elevates this from a clever gadget to a genuine domestic revolution, is the self-empty station. This monolith is not just a charger; it is the L60's base of operations. After its patrol is complete, the little predator dutifully returns to the dock. And then you hear it—a ferocious, ten-second roar, like a miniature jet engine firing up. That is the sound of every speck of filth the robot has collected being violently sucked from its belly into a sealed bag within the tower. The result? You don't have to do a thing. For up to 60 days, this silent partnership continues. The robot hunts, it cleans, it reports back to its base, it unloads its grim bounty, and it prepares for the next mission. You are completely removed from the dirtiest part of the process. This eufy L60 is not just an appliance; it's a quantum leap. It is a quiet, frighteningly intelligent, and ruthlessly efficient solution to the endless, soul-crushing war against domestic filth. It maps its battlefield with perfect precision, it hunts its prey with relentless power, and it handles its own dirty work. It is, without a doubt, the single greatest ally you could ever have in the quest for a clean floor. Absolutely amazing.

Waste of money
Size: eufy L60 SES (renewed)
This vacuum is a total let down. It cleans well enough however it has lost its network connection every month since I have owned it. Not only do I have to take 20 minutes to get it to finally reconnect, but it also wipes out the map that is stored. So I can’t clean until it re-maps the floor, I have to re-divide the rooms, and ultimately can’t clean for close to 2 hours when I need it most. Don’t waste your time with this unit unless you want to deal with network issues every month

Great Price, Great Quality, Save your money from other over priced Brands
I absolutely love this! Just as good as any of the more expensive brands! It has great cleaning abilities and is able to get in every corner and crevice. This quality is amazing and it has a mapping feature with a remote to set it up. Powerful suction, connects to the wifi easily and has a perfect spin rate so it doesn't miss a thing! My biggest issue is that I wasn't using it as much as I should! Make sure you set up a timer and it will take care of the rest!
