Canon, Covenant and Christology: Rethinking Jesus and the Scriptures of IsraelAll Scripture is breathed out by God (2 Timothy 3: 16). From Pauls epistles the divine inspiration of Scripture may be confidently affirmed, as well as its corollary attributes. However, on turning to Jesus and the Gospels, it is hard to find an explicit approach like Pauls. Matthew Barrett argues that Jesus and the apostles have just as convictional a doctrine of Scripture as Paul or Peter, but it will only be discovered if the Gospels are read

‘All Scripture is breathed out by God …’ (2 Timothy 3:16). From Paul’s epistles the divine inspiration of Scripture may be confidently affirmed, as well as its corollary attributes. However, on turning to Jesus and the Gospels, it is hard to find an explicit approach like Paul’s. Matthew Barrett argues that Jesus and the apostles have just as convictional a doctrine of Scripture as Paul or Peter, but it will only be discovered if the Gospels are read within their own canonical horizon and covenantal context. The nature of Scripture presupposed by Jesus and the Gospel writers may not be addressed directly, but it manifests itself powerfully when their words are read within the Old Testament’s promise–fulfilment pattern. Nothing demonstrates Scripture’s divine origin, divine authorial intent and trustworthiness more than the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the advent of the Son of God, the Word has become flesh, announcing to Jew and Gentile alike that the covenant promises Yahweh made through the Law and the Prophets have been fulfilled in the person and work of Christ.

______________

Matthew is Associate Professor of Christian Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the executive editor of Credo Magazine. Author of numerous books, including None Greater, God’s Word Alone, 40 Questions About Salvation, John Owen on the Christian Life and Salvation by Grace. Editor of The Doctrine by Which the Church Stands or Falls and Reformation Theology. Host of the Credo podcast where he talks with fellow theologians about the most important doctrines of the faith.

______________

In a wide-ranging discussion, Matthew Barrett explores [biblical theology] from the perspective of the Gospels, deploying interesting and stimulating insight that will certainly be picked up and developed by many pastors and theologians. Jesus himself ties together the old and new covenants. He fulfills the Scriptures, but effectively does so only by being obedient to them. The dynamic casts fresh light not only on Christ, but on the Scriptures themselves. D. A. Carson, Research Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, USA

Great-Tasting Protein Shake With Fresh Product Dates and Excellent Nutrition
Flavor Name: Chocolate, Size: 11 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)
I picked up this Premier Protein chocolate shake 12-pack mainly as a convenient daily protein option, and overall the quality has been excellent. The chocolate flavor tastes very good without being overly sweet, and the texture is smooth compared to many protein drinks that can feel chalky or heavy. The 30 grams of protein also make it very practical for quick meals, post-workout use, or busy days when preparing food is not convenient. One thing I appreciated is that the product arrived with fresh expiration dates, which is important when buying protein drinks in bulk. The packaging was also in good condition, and the bottles were easy to store and carry. The nutritional balance is another strong point, especially with the added vitamins and minerals included without extra added sugar. Compared to many other ready-to-drink protein shakes, this one feels lighter while still being filling and satisfying. In terms of value for the money, it feels like a very good purchase considering the quality, nutrition content, convenience, and freshness. Overall, a high-quality protein shake with excellent taste, fresh product dates, strong nutritional value, and very good everyday convenience. It can also be mixed with other flavors.

What's small and powerful and full of protein?
Flavor Name: Chocolate, Size: 11 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)
This is better than expected - filling - chocolate-milkish taste - lots of protein - only o few calories - good for times you want to eat less but still have energy - It is a good product to have on hand - it is filling - this is not exciting but rather useful in a busy life -when you don't want to cook, before a medical procedure or any situation where less is more. The taste is good enough - best ice cold - I would recommend this product.

Good taste, No sugar, Low Carb, High Protein
Flavor Name: Chocolate, Size: 11 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)
Highly recommended, no sugar, low carb, high protein. This exceeded my expectations. It tastes good chilled, much better than other forms of protein supplements. I have never had a ready mixed protein shake, so I was hesitant about buying it. Protein powder always tasted too strong & not good after taste. Although there are some Ok Protein bars, they do mostly have undesirable taste & not good after taste.
