You are buying a brand new Pioneer # 855005 Performance Main Stud Kit. High compression race engines require a stable crank and bottom end assembly. Main studs prevent cap walk and help support the crankshaft assembly while reducing stress on the block threads during assembly. Pioneer Performance Main Stud Kits are 100% U.S. made, heat treated to 180,000 PSI tensile strength and feature rolled threads and undercut shanks for distibuting torque stretch which increases the clamping load.
