Tasting Notes
Colour:Deep red with purple hues.
Nose:Dark forest fruits, blackcurrants and cocoa with hints of bay leaf and graphite.
Palate:The generous palate is full bodied and supple, with forest fruits, dark plums and cassis. Beautifully structured and precise, the fleshy fruits are underpinned by fine tannins culminating to a lingering finish.
Cellaring Potential:Will reward medium to long term cellaring

Varietal:Cabernet Sauvignon 90%, Malbec 10%

Region:Margaret River
Conditions:A later start to the season after a cold, wet winter lead to a fantastic WA summer. Yields were relatively low however 2023 was an outstanding vintage with excellent fruit quality and great flavour intensity.

Winemaking Notes:Fermentation method: A combination of static and open fermenters, where the cap is managed using a combination of aerative pumping over, as well as regular plunging by hand. Fermentation time: 5 - 7 days at 25°C Skin contact: 5 - 7 days Barrel origin: French oak Barrel age: 40% new oak, 60% seasoned oak Time: 14 months Yeast type: BDX Vegan: Yes Sustainable Winegrowing Australia: This wine is made from qualifying grapes at a winery certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.

Nice upgrade 51mm for me

This is my second 51mm machine. I never used the included handle or basket… I kept my existing HUGH IMS precision basket and bottomless portafilter. The temp and preinfusion are set and not adjustable but fine (reduced variables). I defeated the shut off by volume by setting higher than needed (wish that was easier to turn off). I like to manually shut off when I hit 30g on my scale. The machine will drip since there is not solenoid valve so I just pull the scale from the try when mouse tail breaks and drip starts. The steam wand and hot water dispenser is a massive upgrade (from Capresso EC50) and the real reason for my upgrade. I would have paid $50-100 more for the improvements listed… but I guess most people would not so this is about the best option for me with 51mm (keeping all the 51mm three lug portafilter stuff I own). 5 stars = for me and the price

Reliably makes a good cup of coffee!

This espresso machine is great. I wanted something simple and reliable and that’s exactly what it is. In fact, the espresso comes out with a nice creamy coffee froth on top and the flavor is excellent. I don’t normally write reviews, but I think this one is worth it and I want them to stay in business because I’ll probably be sending some of these out as gifts come next Christmas.

Authentic

This machine is amazing. We just returned from Italy and this is as close to a cafe as you can get. It leaves a dense foam on top from the high pressure water system making truly authentic. It is easy to use and clean!! I loved the size too as it fits perfectly on our shelf. Highly recommend if you want an italian cafe to enjoy!

Bargain Espresso Machine Works Great

Great espresso machine, and a bargain at only $100! Pulls perfect shots with a generous amount of crema. And, it comes with a high-quality tamper. Tips: When you first turn it on, remember to run the steam wand for a couple seconds to prime the system. Test/experiment with the grind to get it just right--40 seconds with my blade grinder is working for me.
