A nice vintage piece from Japan’s golden audiophile era, this setup features the Denon DP-6000 direct-drive motor/turntable unit, manufactured 1976 to 1982, built into the matching DK-200 heavy plinth, paired with the Denon DA-50 precision tonearm.
The DP-6000 boasts quartz-phase locked servo control for extremely stable rotational speed and a high-mass platter base built to extract maximal detail and pitch accuracy. The DK-200 plinth provides a dedicated chassis designed specifically for this motor unit. This heavy weight plinth was designed to reduce vibration and support the precision turntable motor. The Denon DA-307 is a vintage Japanese S-shaped tonearm introduced around 1978. It uses a static-balance design with Denon’s dynamic damping mechanism, which places a viscous elastic damper at the base of the arm pipe to reduce unwanted arm vibration and low-frequency resonance.
Together this combination delivers a rich, analogue character that vintage Denon models of this era are known for. The heavyweight build, precision motor control and high‐quality tonearm make this a highly desirable setup for the discerning vinyl enthusiast.
- This unit has been used.
- This unit has been tested and all functions are working as they should. It has also had a minor service. This unit has no faults to note and overall is a lovely listening piece for home.
- The cosmetic condition of this unit is great. It shows some general wear from use and age like some marks, nicks and scratches. Please see all photos for further details. Overall it is a nice piece with no major damage.
- This unit will ship with vintage Grace headshell and Grace F8 cartridge and stylus set up. These have been used but are in good condition to get you started!
- This unit will ship with its original, hinged dust cover. This cover shows some wear like scuffs and scratches which is to be expected from a vintage piece. Nothing major. Please see photos.
- Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. A step-down transformer will be included for Australian buyers only.
- If you purchase from outside Australia you may also need a step-down transformer to use this unit. Please contact us if you need any help sourcing the correct product.
