While you can purchase a heat pump for around $5,000, its long-term performance and running costs should be considered. An over sized pool solar heating system delivers much larger heating performance to a heat pump but at a fraction of the operating cost. Over 10 years, running a heat pump can cost approximately $50,000, whereas pool solar heating typically costs no more than $6,000 over the same period.

• Lost of holes in the roof is not a good idea. If possible float your system, PSH we can float a system or install flashings to fix off too. Either vey little penetrations or no roof penetrations
• Make sure the product if fit for purpose and make sure your installer is great at his job
• Product that is not going to last the distance. European, Asia and USA products are not heavily UV rated. Or choose product that doesnt use UV rating because it falls outside the need for stabilisers
• HDPE products, our NZ UV kills plastics. Your roof is a super charged energy source. Make sure it is going to last. Read reviews, ask people or drop us an email. Even if we are not installing, we can give you advise
