THEBAI places players in mythic Thebes after the fall of Oedipus, where Polyneicy besieges the city. Players lead noble houses, reconstruct the Cadmeia, influence the city council, and manage resources and faith—all while political intrigue and divine will shape their actions.

The game blends resource management, card-driven choices, worker placement, and strategic planning. On the battlefield, defense of Thebes’ seven gates clashes with internal building and influence. Every decision ripples through the political and military landscape.
