Dominating Heavy-Duty Demolition with 50X Longer Life: Diablo 12-Inch Demo Demon Carbide Blades

The Diablo DS1206CWS3 12-Inch Demo Demon™ Carbide Teeth Reciprocating Saw Blade 3-Pack is the professional contractor's definitive choice for high-volume demolition and extreme structural teardowns. Engineered to solve the most common jobsite frustration—hitting high-strength fasteners that destroy standard bi-metal blades—these blades feature high-performance TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide. This specialized carbide blend delivers an unmatched 50X longer cutting life, ensuring your crew stays productive rather than constantly swapping out dull equipment. The extended 12-inch length provides the critical reach necessary for deep-penetration cuts through thick headers, laminated beams, and multi-layered wall sections.

Maximum stability and precision are built into the core of the Demo Demon series. Each blade features an oversized 1-inch demolition body that provides superior rigidity, virtually eliminating "blade whip" and ensuring perfectly straight cuts even in high-torque situations. The specialized Variable Tooth Design (5/7 TPI) delivers lightning-fast material removal while significantly reducing vibration and operator fatigue. Fortified with an enhanced carbide tip-to-blade connection for extreme impact resistance and a Perma-SHIELD® non-stick coating to resist heat buildup and gumming, this 3-pack ensures your corded or cordless reciprocating saw operates at its absolute peak in the most punishing environments.

Key Features

  • TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide: Specialized carbide blend delivers up to 50X longer life versus standard bi-metal blades in nail-embedded wood.
  • Variable Tooth Geometry (5/7 TPI): Engineered for aggressive material removal and smoother operation with drastically reduced chatter.
  • 1-Inch Oversized Demolition Body: Extra-rigid blade height produces straighter, more accurate cuts with maximum control.
  • Extreme Impact Resistance: Enhanced carbide tip-to-blade bonding survives high-speed strikes against hardened structural fasteners.
  • Unique Plunge Tip Design: Specialized tip allows for faster and easier plunging into floors and wall sections.
  • Perma-SHIELD® Protection: High-performance coating protects the blade from heat, gumming, and corrosion for a cooler cutting experience.

Pro-Tip: When using a 12-inch carbide blade for structural demolition, let the variable 5/7 pitch do the heavy lifting. Avoid forcing the saw; instead, maintain a firm, consistent pressure. Using a slight oscillating (rocking) motion will help clear large wood chips from deep channels more efficiently, preventing the carbide teeth from overheating and ensuring the longest possible service life for each blade.

This is a "Go-To" for thinking about Cloud Challenges.
Format: Paperback
Delivering and managing fully realized applications in the cloud is different. Different approaches to classic engineering problems than traditional On Premise development and different ways of thinking through the problems of "always available" solutions. I've been in the software delivery business a long time, and with the cloud emerging, for good and ill: I understand the problems, but may be just a little set in my ways. I find this book helps me re-frame challenges in a way that aligns with the strengths of cloud computing. Solve the same problems faster, by thinking about them differently. I'm finding "97 Things Every Cloud Engineer Should Know" great for re-centering my expectations about Cloud Native development and deployment of assets. I started reading it cover to cover over the Christmas Holiday but now i just pick it up and look for the group of essays about exactly the problem I'm wrestling with. P.S. I'm heartened by the editors commitment to Black Lives Matter and Rule of Law. Mentioned only to balance the concerns from another review.

Why Politics in a Tech Book????
Format: Kindle
Well... I'm surprised to see the book blatently calls out its dedication to Black Lives Matter, which is in all caps so I assume it's referring to the political organization. It goes on to speak of 2020 being the year of an "awakening of injustices of systematic racism"... I thought I was buying a technical book??? Had I known this political bs was included I wouldn't have purchased it! However, I bought and I'm still reading it. If the politics goes away and the TECHNICAL content is good I'll update my review.

Not good use of time
Format: Paperback
It’s not clear who this book targets - neither experts nor novice will benefit. There are expert perspectives, only few of these are helpful, rest are too generic to be of any use. For instance the last entry is one an engineer who shares how she went from zero to expert in cloud engineering in six months but fails to mention a single resource or pathway for others to follow.
