How does this work?
Unlike our previous E3D High Flow Hotends (Volcano and SuperVolcano), E3D Prusa High Flow ObXidian Nozzles maintain the exact same form factor as standard E3D Prusa ObXidian Nozzles; this means there is no need to adjust your pre-existing mount and fan duct setups! E3D Prusa High Flow Brass Nozzles use a unique custom internal geometry to increase the surface area for improved thermal transfer to the filament.
With a wear resistance orders of magnitude higher than any other E3D nozzle, ObXidian is really hard, making it the perfect nozzle for printing abrasive/filled polymers. This is achieved by pairing a tool steel insert with our new E3DLC™ coating. This specially formulated coating also embeds non-stick properties into the Nozzle itself, meaning considerably less plastic build-up around the Nozzle.
