For the serious Titanic collector or museum. This special piece is a kitchen pot from the residential mansion of John Jacob Astor IV, the richest man in the world at the time of his death on Titanic in 1912. The pot possibly cooked “Astor’s Last Supper” at home. It has solid family provenance and was found in a steamer trunk marked JJA belonging to his grandson Ivan Obolensky. The trunk and its contents were long forgotten about and abandoned by the family. This is one of the pots found with that trunk.

The pot measures about 3 3/4” high, 6 1/4” in circumference, with an 6 3/4” handle and weights 1.2lbs. It was manufactured by L.F. D&H Company Wooster, NY. It appears to be made of copper with a tin coating. It shows heavy use with dents and scrapes throughout and possibly leaks when filled.

The outside is boldly stamped “J.J. Astor. 840 10,” as was the customary practice in wealthy kitchens of the time. It identifies the owners name, address and pot number to match the lid (not included). The Astor Mansion was located at 840 5th Ave. in New York.

This new discovery somehow escaped notice through history and is now being offered to the public for the first time. Vintage documentation with his grandsons name (direct lineage) will be added and a custom made signed COA will be included for this relic. Other pots from the same trunk sold very quickly, so don’t miss out. Serious inquiries only.

Very impressive for the money
I ordered this not really knowing what to expect, they didn't have my size in the color I wanted but I had to try it anyway, so I went with light grey. The suit is a bit snug, I would have to lose a few pounds to fit in it properly and I ordered a size up, so it does run small. That said, for the price I can't believe how well made it is and how nice it feels the pants are great, they fit well and have elasticity to them, the tie is a run of the mil tie but ok, it is fine and the jacket, I have bought jackets that cost me over $300 but this one came with the pants and tie for $80, how can anyone complain about that? Perfect for prom, date night a wedding or funeral, if you don't wear suits and just need one or two in the closet, this is for you.
