The black DPA 4061 CORE+ is a miniature, moisture-resistant lavalier microphone designed for use with professional wireless systems for broadcast, performance, and theatrical applications. The electret-condenser capsule delivers crisp, clear, and intelligible speech, while the rugged yet unobtrusive design is well suited to the demands of professional live stage work and presentations.
The CORE+ technology in the 4061 delivers a wide dynamic range and almost completely neutralizes distortion at SPLs up to 133 dB, helping to provide clean, crisp, and natural sonic performance, even on loud stages. Included are two interchangeable capsule protection grids that alter the sonic character of the mic for better results in different placement positions.
The 4061 is wired for low sensitivity, allowing it to handle peak SPLs of up to 137 dB with less than 1% distortion, making it well suited for loud speakers, vocalists, and presenters. The mic can also be used very effectively to capture instruments—making it a flexible tool for houses of worship and live event productions. The 4061 CORE+ is powered by 5 to 10V plug-in power from a wireless microphone transmitter.

- The modular design allows you to adapt the 4061's MicroLock connector to a wide variety of transmitters simply by purchasing the compatible adapter—saving you the expense of buying another microphone.
- Built to withstand the rigors of long-term everyday use, DPA's MicroLock system features an easy-to-use, secure, and wear-resistant locking connector specially engineered to minimize accidental disconnection and ensure reliable performance. The compact design is well suited to situations where space is limited and a visually discreet solution is preferred.
- MicroLock is fully backwards compatible with the MicroDot connection; MicroLock parts can be assembled with MicroDot parts and function as if they were of the MicroDot type. Please note that the locking function is only available if both the male and female parts are MicroLock.
The 4061 CORE+ features a capsule designed for loud speech and vocal applications at levels up to 134 dB SPL RMS and 137 dB SPL peak before producing < 1% distortion.
Microphones with CORE+ provide even more clarity across the entire dynamic range, from low to high sound pressure levels. Miniature microphones with CORE+ provide unheard levels of openness. While CORE allows mics to handle higher SPLs without significant artifacts up to 1% THD, CORE+ eliminates those artifacts completely.
The diminutive 5.4mm capsule enables the microphone to be inconspicuous and easily disguised in clothing or costumes. The vertical diaphragm design offers a clear and natural sound optimized for the human voice.
The pre-fitted Soft-Boost Grid gives a 3 dB soft boost at 8 to 20 kHz range. It should be used when the microphone is mounted on the performer's head as well as in most other applications where you need a natural-sounding mic. Alternatively, the High-Boost Grid introduces a 10 dB boost around 12 kHz for applications where chest placement is preferred. Both grids are made of tough and scratch-resistant anodized stainless steel, allowing them to be detached and cleaned.
The forgiving omnidirectional pickup pattern captures sound from all around the mic and provides a consistent frequency response, even for off-axis sound. This helps to supply clear, intelligible speech and vocals, even when the talent turns away from the microphone.
Engineered with a double-vent protection system, the 4061 is certified IP58 for dust and moisture resistance. The rugged 5.9' cable is built with Kevlar strain relief to survive the constant twists, bends, and pulls that are part of everyday use in harsh environments.
- The SCM0017-2 Curved Clip for Lavalier Microphone is a lapel clip featuring ribs that complement the mic's updated strain relief for improved performance.
- The SCM0030 8-Way Clip offers a variety of flexible positioning choices for up, down, left, and right mounting.
- The SCM0034 is an 8-way dual-clip that allows you to mount two lavs for broadcasting.
- To hide the mic, the DMM0021 Concealer attaches safely and securely to clothing and costumes and is designed to resist clothing and rustling noise.
- Foam windscreens to reduce breath and plosive noises are available in multiple color choices to match clothing.
