Upgrade your Lenovo ThinkSystem or compatible system with the Lenovo 5200 480 GB Solid State Drive. This 2.5-inch internal SSD leverages Micron NAND flash memory and a SATA 6Gbps interface to deliver fast, reliable performance for mixed read/write workloads. Built for mainstream enterprise use, the 5200 SATA SSD offers an excellent balance of capacity, affordability, and durability, making it an ideal choice for accelerating transactional applications, enhancing cache performance, and delivering high-speed storage for everyday operations. Whether you’re refreshing aging storage in a data center, upgrading a workstation, or outfitting a small business server, this drive provides the speed of solid-state storage without compromising on value. In environments where latency matters and data access must be instantaneous, the Lenovo 5200 shines by reducing bottlenecks, speeding up data access, and improving overall system responsiveness.

  • Performance for mixed read/write workloads: Built with Micron NAND flash and a SATA 6Gbps interface, the Lenovo 5200 delivers strong sequential and random I/O performance. It’s well-suited for cache roles in transactional applications and for high-speed storage where responsive data access matters.
  • Flexible 2.5-inch form factor and broad compatibility: This standard 2.5" internal drive fits a wide range of Lenovo ThinkSystem systems, desktops, servers, and NAS devices that support SATA drives, enabling straightforward upgrades without specialized hardware.
  • Enterprise-friendly reliability for mixed-use environments: Designed to handle diverse workloads with robust data integrity features and wear-leveling typical of Micron-based SSDs, helping sustain steady performance over time.
  • Cost-effective upgrade to boost throughput: Compared with traditional hard drives, the 5200 SSD reduces latency and increases I/O throughput, which translates to faster boot times, quicker application launches, and snappier data access across databases and virtualization workloads.
  • Easy integration into Lenovo ecosystems and beyond: Optimized for Lenovo ThinkSystem deployments while remaining compatible with standard SATA systems, making it a practical upgrade for mixed IT environments and scalable storage architectures.

How to install Lenovo 5200 480 GB Solid State Drive

  • Power down the system and unplug all cables. Ground yourself to prevent static damage.
  • Open the computer or server chassis and locate an available 2.5-inch drive bay. If your enclosure uses brackets or adapters, prepare the SSD accordingly.
  • Connect a SATA data cable from the motherboard or SATA controller to the drive’s SATA port, and attach a SATA power connection from the power supply.
  • Mount the drive securely in the bay using the appropriate screws. Ensure the drive sits firmly and does not move inside the enclosure.
  • Power on the system and enter the BIOS/UEFI to confirm the drive is detected. If needed, enable SATA operation mode and set boot priorities as required for your deployment.
  • In your operating system, initialize the new SSD, create a partition, and format it with your preferred file system. For better performance and reliability, consider enabling TRIM support if your OS and drive support it.
  • Optionally update the drive’s firmware from the manufacturer’s site if a newer version is available, and run a basic health check to ensure normal operation post-install.
  • Begin migrating data or installing applications to the new SSD. Monitor drive performance and ensure backups are in place as part of your standard IT practices.

You Get What You Pay For! A Piece Of Junk!
Size: 1 Panel
Flimsy and a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money. Assembly is a pain because it is so flimsy. Divider is thin. You can see right through it. Very wobbly.

Instructions are useless
Size: 1 Panel
The instructions are poorly written and not very helpful. The divider itself is easy to assemble, and honestly, it would’ve been quicker if I had skipped the directions altogether. Once put together, though, it works as intended.

This was the best
Size: 1 Panel
This divider is great for creating a little privacy or separating a small area without taking up much space. The fabric is thick enough to block visual clutter, and the frame is lightweight but stable once it’s opened. It folds flat for storage, which is convenient if you only need it occasionally. Assembly was straightforward, and it was the perfect size. It’s a practical piece for apartments, studios, or home offices where you want a quick, temporary partition.

Good privacy screen
Size: 1 Panel, Size: 1 Panel
This is a good privacy screen that's easy to assemble and looks nice. Be a little careful moving it, as the corners can twist. It's sturdy once in place, and the thick material is completely opaque. If the folds bother you, you might want to iron it, but I'm happy with it as is.

Lightweight divider that works well for video call backgrounds
Size: 1 Panel
This divider works fine for what it is, but it’s definitely on the lightweight side. Setup was very easy and only took a few minutes. The frame is fairly light, so it’s easy to move around or reposition if needed. That said, the tradeoff is that it’s not especially sturdy. It stands fine on its own but I wouldn’t expect it to handle much bumping or movement. I mainly bought it to use as a background for Zoom calls when I’m working from my den, and for that purpose it works great. The fabric panel blocks the room behind me and gives a cleaner background on camera. It’s not huge though. To keep the camera from seeing around it, I have to position it directly behind my chair. If you’re expecting it to divide a large room or create a big privacy barrier, it may feel a bit small. Overall, it does the job and works well for temporary setups or video call backgrounds, but the lightweight frame keeps it from feeling like a premium divider. The product description and photos are accurate.
