Released in 1969, the same year Basket of Light propelled Pentangle into the UK pop charts, Birthday Blues almost sounds like a Pentangle LP missing John Renbourn and Jacqui McShee. Backed-up by bandmates Danny Thompson and Terry Cox, Jansch neither holds back his characteristic moodiness nor takes himself too seriously. What's more, Jansch is in love. Heather Rosemary Sewell isn't just the inspiration for one of the song titles; she also designed the cover, whose Hans Feurer front photo shows Bert holding the couple's puppy. With just enough of a Donovanesque pop sense, Pentangle producer Shel Talmy keeps the overall feel of these recordings fresh, warm and immediate. As it's playfully ambivalent title suggests, Birthday Blues reveals an artist fully comfortable in his own skin. Blues and folk influences are woven together into songs at once directly personal, yet generously light and free. The most "pop" of Jansch's '60s solo recordings and perhaps one of his most underrated, Birthday Blues is a deep and rewarding family affair at the height of his musical powers. This vinyl release has been carefully remastered from the original master tapes and features liner notes by Richie Unterberger.

Good for the money

I bought these for my suzuki kingquad 750 . I’m able to carry a lot more in them then I thought . I had a pack shovel, 20 ft tow strap, 4 bottles of water, bug spray, ton of bungee cords and a couple 1 inch ratchet straps. It still had some room but was close to full . I did not use the phone carrier as I am not willing to take the chance of it falling off, although it hasn’t . 120 miles of rough terrain so far with them.
They hold up to a pressure washer as well. As long as they are zipped up water stays out.
Overall they’re a great add on if you don’t want to lose rack space and save some money
Only downside is the zippers are awful

Very helpful

Lots of pockets. Easy to attach to rack on 4 wheeler. Heavy durable material.
Only complaint is some zippers are hard to operate. This is due to they are made to be waterproof. Not really a problem since I seldom close the zippers.
