By: Iain LawrenceA girl’s imagination transports polio-afflicted kids into a fantastic world.
The spring of 1955 tests Laurie Valentine’s gifts as a storyteller. After her friend Dickie contracts polio and finds himself confined to an iron lung, Laurie visits him in the hospital. There she meets Carolyn and Chip, two other kids trapped inside the breathing machines. Laurie’s first impulse is to flee, but Dickie begs her to tell them a story. And so Laurie begins her tale of Collosso, a rampaging giant, and Jimmy, a tiny boy whose destiny is to become a slayer of giants.
As Laurie embellishes her tale with gnomes, unicorns, gryphons, and other fanciful creatures, Dickie comes to believe that he is a character in her story. Little by little Carolyn, Chip, and other kids who come to listen, recognize counterparts as well. Laurie’s tale is so powerful that when she’s prevented from continuing it, Dickie, Carolyn, and Chip take turns as narrators. Each helps bring the story of Collosso and Jimmy to an end—changing the lives of those in the polio ward in startling ways.

It's a perfect size for the space on your sink, next to the faucet. It is a good, stable, organizational piece. It is sturdy. No assembly is required. Its very easy to clean. I'm very pleased I purchased this item.

Great product. Love that the water drains into the sink. Not all over my sink back.

Pretty good size, and storage but it moves a little.
Color: Black, Size: 7.9" x 3.7" x 6.2"
I ordered this in black, and it holds a large bottle of hand soap, my dish wand, and two other sponges/scrubbers. It really does drain into the sink, but you have to be careful to place it on the edge of the sink, or the water will drip onto the counter. Also, it's very light, so if you only have a few items in it, it's likely to move or fall when you reach for a sponge. Since we put a solid bottle of hand soap in there, it is much more stable, even when I'm using the pump dispenser. I can't tell if it's rustproof for long-term use, but so far it's functional after adding something to weigh it down. I like it much better than the flat sponge caddy we had before, and the quality seems good. I would like it to be more stable, but otherwise it's useful

Compact, Versatile, and No Rust So Far
Color: Black, Size: 7.9" x 3.7" x 6.2", Color: Black, Size: 7.9" x 3.7" x 6.2"
I looked around quite a bit before buying this because a lot of sellers offer the same or very similar design. I even saw versions with a dedicated spot for a Scrub Daddy, but I didn’t feel like paying extra for that. I went with this one hoping it would still work for my setup, and it absolutely does.
I’m limited on counter space, and this doesn’t take up much room at all. The removable brush holder cup is a big plus, I removed it and use that space for my Sponge Daddy, which fits perfectly. It also fits my hand soap and dish soap bottles without any issues, and I use the brush holder section to hold clean utensils.
I’ve been using this for almost two months now and wash dishes constantly, so there’s pretty much always some water dripping from the sponge while it dries. So far, there’s been no rusting and no color chipping, which was something I was concerned about. Overall, it works perfectly for my needs and feels well made.
