Brainboxes ED-038 Ethernet to Digital I/O Relay

The Brainboxes ED-038 Ethernet to Digital I/O Relay is a compact, network-enabled I/O interface designed to bring precise digital control and monitoring to any Ethernet-based automation system. With three Form A relay outputs and three digital inputs, this module gives you straightforward, scalable I/O integration for machines, test benches, data logging, and remote monitoring tasks. At its heart sits a powerful ARM 80 MHz 32-bit CPU, delivering responsive performance and reliable operation even in demanding environments. The ED-038 can be controlled over TCP/IP using the Modbus TCP protocol for standard industrial automation workflows, or via simple ASCII commands for lightweight control. It also behaves as a web relay, enabling quick setup and testing directly from a browser without writing code. Brainboxes supplies a comprehensive API and sample code, making it easier than ever to integrate the ED-038 with SCADA systems, PLCs, embedded controllers, or custom software. This combination of flexible networking, robust I/O, and developer-friendly tools makes the ED-038 an ideal choice for engineers who want to modernize or expand their I/O capabilities with minimal wiring and maximum compatibility. Whether you’re adding remote I/O to a production line, implementing automated test rigs, or building IoT-enabled monitoring, the ED-038 is designed to fit into a wide range of architectures while delivering predictable, reliable performance over Ethernet.

  • Three Form A (NO) relay outputs provide simple, reliable switching for external circuits and devices.
  • Three digital inputs give you direct status signals to monitor sensors, switches, or external logic, enabling immediate feedback and control decisions.
  • Full TCP/IP connectivity with Modbus TCP for standard industrial automation and ASCII commands for lightweight control, plus a built-in web relay interface for browser-based management.
  • A powerful ARM 80 MHz 32-bit CPU drives fast, deterministic I/O handling and allows responsive communication with host systems and controllers.
  • Brainboxes API and sample code are included, enabling quick integration into your software stack and easy adaptation across languages and platforms.

Great shorts but that tag...
I would give these shorts 5 stars if I wasn't insulted by the tag. They're durable, lightweight, comfortable, and they fit perfectly. I've had them for more than a year and they still look and feel like brand new. I bought two pairs but I will never buy anything from this vendor again. The size I ordered was 2x. Look at the tag. Way to go guys. Thanks for instilling confidence and buffing my self esteem. Hey Amazon, I went back to add something and you chopped me in half. I went from 6 foot tall to 3 and it won't let me fix that. Please take care of this error.

Great for Camping
I bought these for my kids to use when camping. They loved them. They are very lightweight and comfortable. They dry quickly also. Sizes are strange. Ordered a 32-34 on one of them and it said 3X on the tag, but they did fit like the proper size. My kids liked the zippers on them also. Good price too.

Not bad for mountain biking.
Although these are not categorized as mountain biking shorts, I bought them specifically for that purpose when riding on hot summer days. It is a well-made apparel with high quality material and accurate sizing. I've worn it on countless rides and has held up very well. Despite the number of wash cycles these have gone through it hasn't shrunk, faded or ripped. It still looks and feel as it did when new. Overall, I’m satisfied with these shorts and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for mountain biking or any other outdoor sports you may be into.

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
Color: Green/Black
I love this watch despite the fact that it is really a toy. I love the look of the watch, I love how lite the weight of the watch is on my wrist, and it really does keep good time if you manage the solar charge properly. Other than looking cool on your wrist, this watch has absolutely no functions other than time keeping. The black plastic bezel is molded into the case and does not turn, so don't plan on using that. The watch has no light, the dial numbers are non-luminous and the hands are very limited in terms of luminosity. No buttons. All you can do is adjust the time and date by pulling out what used to be a winding stem in the good old days. The small tag on the strap with Geographic coordinates shown on it indicate the location of the old Timex manufacturing facility (SW of Waterbury, CT). I have a nice ledge at my bedroom window and it gets good western sun for a good part of the day regardless of the time of year. On this ledge you will find a half dozen solar powered watches (mostly Casio) properly aligned to maximize the charge they may receive each day. Note that the description for this Timex watch specifically states that a lightbulb won't charge this watch. You need direct sunlight for several hours if you want to get more than a 3-week charge into this watch. So, I'll leave you with a couple of tips, my friends; 1.) If you are looking for a first watch to give your outdoorsy oriented Son or Daughter, then give them this one. Why? Because it is cool looking, fairly well built, and it actually works, 2.) After you receive your Timex watch, be sure to keep the display mount it is packaged with. It makes a great fixture to mount your watch on for charging and allows you to maximize the position of the solar cells on the dial so that you can optimize charging time. Have Fun! Jimmy
