Condition: New

Description:

UltraTap is a unique multi-tap effect pedal capable of rhythmic delays, glitchy reverbs, huge pad-like volume swells, and extraordinary modulation. It’s the perfect tool for staccato leads, swelling chords, and other evolving effects — everything from reversed reverbs to the sound of ripping it up in the Grand Canyon!

Think of UltraTap as the mother of all Echoplexes and you won’t be too far off. That’s basically how it operates but with the flexibility to add as many ‘tape heads’ as you want and expressively control their positions and levels.

UltraTap's controls make possible new and unexpected effects. The controls that you would expect in a multi-tap delay pedal—Number of Taps, Delay and Feedback—are just the basics. Controls for Spread, Slurm, and Chop open up a new world of possibilities.

Features

  • Control the stereo image of taps to alternate between hard-panned and mono.
  • Five presets loaded at your feet with dozens more available with Eventide Device Manager (EDM) software.
  • Dual-action Active Footswitch is latching or momentary.
  • Onboard LFOs and envelopes to chop the sound source into stuttered rhythms.
  • Rear panel Guitar/Line Level switch for matching levels of guitars, synths, FX loops, or DAW interface.
  • Map any combination of parameters to an Expression Pedal.
  • Use a single Aux switch to Tap Tempo or a triple Aux switch for easy preset changing (up/down/load).
  • MIDI capability over TRS (use with a MIDI to TRS cable or converter box) or USB.
  • Multiple Bypass options: Buffered, Relay, DSP+FX, or Kill dry.
  • Catch-up mode helps dial in your sound when toggling between presets/parameters.
  • Eventide Device Manager PC or Mac application for software updates, system settings, and creating/saving presets.
  1. TAPS selects up to 64 taps to create simple repeats or morph delays into chorus and reverb.
  2. SLURM - An exclusive and innovative control that smears/slurs taps together to create truly unique reverbs and choruses.
  3. FEEDBACK unlocks further tone shaping capability.
  4. CHOP and SPD/RISE/REL combine to allow unusual and expressive modulation of the taps based on LFO shapes or the audio's envelope.
  5. SPREAD controls the 'distance' between' taps. With the knob centered, the taps are equally spaced, turn clockwise and the later taps are bunched together, counterclockwise and the early taps are bunched together. Use this control to dial in the perfect rhythmic space between taps.
  6. TAP Footswitch allows you to set the tempo of the taps.

History of UltraTap

The dot9 UltraTap is the result of forty years of development that began in 1981 with Eventide’s Digiplex and MultiTap Delay algorithms for its legendary SP2016 Effects Processor, evolved to become the H3000’s UltraTap and culminating in the advanced UltraTap available as both a plugin and H9 algorithm. The new UltraTap pedal further builds on this legendary effect offering the ability to add as many virtual tape heads as desired along with the ability to expressively control head position and output level enabling new and unprecedented effects.

        Best pour-over coffee maker
This pour-over is my favorite. I've tried metal mesh and ceramic pour-over. This set up is the best, it aerates the coffee as you pour.

        I Was WRONG!!!
I ordered this because I wanted to try it out. First, make sure that you have the correct filters available or you will get irritated too... It uses a V02 filter (the small triangular kind). Then after reading the instructions I realized how many steps are required to make a cup or two of coffee with this contraption... : ) I would really recommend making yourself familiar with this type coffee brewing PRIOR to making this your first cup of coffee in the morning! lol I also didn't have a Gooseneck-style teapot (I did get by without it, but I can see where you will want that style of teapot to make the pouring process more precise!), but I improvised and used a regular teapot and it did work. Keeping in mind, I had NO idea what a pour-over coffee pot involved to make a cup of coffee, hadn't had any caffiene yet and have been battling a virus for over a week now, up until I tried the coffee I was ready to complain about this coffee pot... Then I tried the coffee...OH MY!!! This was one of the BEST cups of coffee I have ever had! I used old, bleached white coffee filters, some flavored, pre-ground Cameron's coffee (so not even a strong grind), and I couldn't shut up! This is one FABULOUS coffee maker! I am SOLD on a pour-over style brewed coffee! If you have never tried one of these, please do! It makes a fabulous cup of coffee!

        Just as described
Like I needed one more thing on my countertop! But it's coffee, so I'll make it work out. This is first product of it's type that I've used. I've seen it offered in coffee shops and thought that slower drip process must create a nice coffee. So, I've tried and I love it. Just follow the instructions, and get the filters at the same time or pick some up at your grocery store. If you're like me, you'll want to try it out right away. I enjoy a dark roast and this really improved the flavor of my usual brand of coffee. The only thing that concerns me is the beaker is made of pretty thin glass. I'm wondering if thicker glass would also help to keep the brew hot as I make enough for two cups. Overall, I'm really happy to have found this.

Durable glass coffee container, nice to use
Previously, we were using an old metal coffee can to store our coffee. The problem is that because it was not transparent, we found ourselves frequently running out of coffee. Out of sight, out of mind. This glass container lets us see how much coffee we have left, but the fact that the glass bottom didn't appear to be reinforced had concerned me somewhat, particularly because our kitchen counter is hard ceramic tile. Well, it seems that these glass containers are made of borosilicate glass, which is a special glass made with boron that has superior strength and durability. Apparently, borosilicate glass is made at a higher temperature, and slowly cooled to room temperature in a process called annealing. Annealing involves controlled cooling to relieve internal stresses and improve the strength and durability of the glassware. Still, I wish that the base of the glass container was thicker, like most bottles and jars. The lid fits on snug and airtight, and there is a button on top that you can push to pump out air and create a vacuum seal. I cannot comment on the worth of this nifty aspect, as the taste of our coffee has not noticeably changed after we began storing our beans in this container. Still, it is a nice container, it looks nice, appears to function well, and hasn't cracked yet. It even comes with a small sturdy steel coffee scoop. And we get to see our coffee all day long.
