The heat treated center balls are cross-drilled for thru-bolt lubrication and the joint internals are retained with 2 heavy duty, heat treated side washers and a snap ring. This specific joint is a 2 1/2 in. diameter, fitted with a zerk fitting for greasing, 2 1/4 in. of 1 1/4 in.-12 left hand threads on the shank, and a 2.625 in. mounting width offset ball with a .625 in. thru bolt hole. Arrived on time as promised. I was able to install it easily on my Jeep Cherokee with 3.2L engine. Good instructions and the part seems to be of good quality. Four Stars only as I have just installed it. Filters are passive components, usually can't tell of their long term quality or reliability unless they leak or cause immediate problems. I recommend this part.
