The Journey: Nature's Greatest Adventure
Follow a herd of zebras on an epic migration across the African plains.

As the sun beats down on the scorched wilderness, these brave zebras trundle on. Who knows what dangers lie ahead or what the herd may find at the end of this extraordinary journey?

Smiley Shark
Smiley Shark may be the biggest fish in the ocean but he's also the friendliest and the funniest - and by far the smiliest. So why won't the other fish let him join in their games? Soon Smiley doesn't feel much like smiling any more. Until a great big shark smile is all it takes to save the day!

Bedtime for Baby Sloth
Baby sloth isn’t ready for bed. First he needs to say goodnight to the moon. And then he needs to sing to the birds. And what about a snack? A beautifully illustrated book to share at bedtime.

Itchy, Scritchy, Scratchy Pants
Five nippy Vikings set out hiking, off on an adventure to find some yeti fluff. As in the chilly weather, no underpants are better, than a pair of knickers knitted from the stuff!

Goodnight Tiger
Goodnight Tiger is a quirky, funny bedtime story book, full of jungle animals and surprises. With vibrant, characterful illustrations by Laura Hughes (Daddy Sandwich), this charming picture book by best-selling author Timothy Knapman (Mungo and the Picture Book Pirates and Dinosaurs in the Supermarket) is sure to delight children at bedtime – and it’s great for reinforcing bath and bedtime routines too.

The animals in Emily’s jungle wallpaper can’t sleep, and they are bellowing and stomping and growling and keeping her awake! “Go to sleep!” shouts Emily. “We’ve tried and tried, but can’t!” says the tiger. So Emily climbs into the wallpaper and shows the animals how to get ready for bed. Only baths and lullabies aren’t quite the same in the jungle…!

Doctorsaurus
A fantastic rhyming, prehistoric debut from Emi-Lou May that's packed with lovable dinosaur characters from Leire Martín!

Thumping head? Tummy ache? Nose all sore and sniffy?
Then call for Doctorsaurus and she’ll fix you in a jiffy!

Triceratops has hurt his horn and T-Rex’s nose is all blocked and snotty. Join Doctorsaurus as she races to the rescue and helps the poorly dinosaurs feel better. But when Brontosaurus has a tummy ache, the dinosaurs get a little more than they bargained for!

Silly Dizzy Dinosaur!
Over here, Dizzy! We’re behind you! Dizzy Dinosaur loves to have fun! But sometimes he’s a little bit silly. Uh-oh! Dizzy needs our help . . . again!

The reader is invited to shout, tickle and shake the book to interact with Dizzy Dinosaur. Celebrating imagination and play, this adorable book will delight kids everywhere – and bring plenty of fun to story time!

Agent Llama: Alpaca Attack!
A super-slick spy story which is guaranteed to be a story-time favourite!

Guess who’s back? It’s Palmer. Charlie Palmer. Awesome spy and fluffy llama. Her latest mission? To stop Harley Hacker – rogue alpaca – from destroying the world . . . with spaghetti! From Dublin to Delaware, Harley’s devious drones are firing pasta everywhere. And worse still, everyone suspects that Charlie is behind the pasta drama! Can our favourite llama clear her name and save the world? Or will she be too late to thwart Harley Hacker’s pasta plan?

The Great Monster Hunt
Early one morning, a funny noise wakes up Duck. It sounds like pshhh-pshh, and it comes from right under her bed. Duck is not quite sure what it is, and she is much too afraid to look...

Let’s All Creep Through Crocodile Creek
What’s that creeping through the crooked creek? Is it a crocodile? Eek! Watch out, Mouse!

Spot the hidden crocodiles in this fabulously fun romp from the ever-popular author and illustrator, Jonny Lambert.

8yo son and mom love this book
Format: Paperback
I’m a mom of two boys and one girl. I would first like to address the people complaining about the title saying “for boys.” The author has addressed this too and it’s part of the reason why I purchased this book. Boys are falling behind in school and reading. Not sure why some people are allowed to review these books when they haven’t read them or purchased them. Do your research if you have a boy in your life. I would also like to point out that bookstores frequently have shelves dedicated to girls about strong women, strong girls, etc and yes boys can read books in those sections just like girls can read these Great Battles for Boys books. My 8yo son loves history and is devouring this book. I highly recommend. This book is really exciting and I (mom) am enjoying it too. We use it for read aloud time and independent reading. As soon as I finish this review I will be ordering more in the series, per my sons request.

Good buy
Format: Paperback
My previous reluctant reader is now a big reader. This series has helped. Both my boys 9 & 12 have enjoyed this series. Another series in addition to this, if looking to expand once you have all the titles, is Nathan's Hales Hazerdous Tales.

Concise, well researched and objective; a great homeschool resource
This is a great read; sufficiently detailed to be worth the time spent, but not so bogged down in minutia that you find yourself wondering how long the chapter is going to go on and glancing ahead to see if it ends with a quiz. Particularly notable is the prose: flowing, easy to read, a comfortable narrative. You get a sense of the author relaxed in an easy chair, his audience gathered about, attentive ears regaled with true tales of valor, intrigue, and conquest. But you will find no glorification of war between these covers; rather a well-balanced rendering of man at his best within his worst. “Great Battles” is well researched, factual, and untainted with retroactive speculation and subjective parochialism that pervade some of today’s ‘historical’ accounts. In short, a valuable addition to any homeschool or military historian’s library; highly recommended.

FINALLY!
Format: Paperback
I was pleased to finally find an historical series written for young boys that neither "cartoonizes" war nor adopts a satirical, demeaning tone. Rather, these books depict the true sacrifices of the men involved in these conflicts. The facts are the facts. There is no politically correct hogwash clouding the child's view of the event. These are more mature historical articles about pivotal events no longer discussed in our public school! These books glorify the ideals scrapped by post-modernists -- bravery, chivalry, and heroism -- ideals that once defined masculinity and limited its so-called "toxicity." As a mother raising masculine gentlemen, I will continue purchasing these fine books! Thanks, Mr. Giorello! Keep writing!
