Middle Atlantic MRK Series 40RU Open-Frame AV Rack — 22" Width, 26" Depth

Experience industrial-grade reliability with the Middle Atlantic MRK Series 40RU Open-Frame AV Rack. Designed for demanding environments and ambitious installations, this rack is a favorite among installers tackling large-scale, multi-bay deployments. The MRK series blends rugged construction with space-saving geometry, delivering a workhorse enclosure that stands up to heavy equipment, dense cable runs, and the rigors of on-site server and AV gear. Its seismic-certified design adds an extra layer of safety for installations in regions with dynamic building conditions, ensuring that critical equipment remains secure and accessible even in challenging environments. If you’re coordinating multi-room AV systems, data centers, control rooms, or broadcast setups, MRK provides the robust framework you need without compromising room for expansion, airflow, or serviceability. With a 40RU capacity, a compact 22" width and a 26" depth, this open-frame rack accommodates a wide range of components—from power distribution units and patch panels to switches, matrix routers, and other rack-mount assets. The open-frame configuration is optimized for cooling efficiency, simple cable management, and rapid maintenance, allowing technicians to deploy, troubleshoot, and reconfigure hardware with minimal downtime. In short, the MRK Series is built to perform like a dependable workhorse on even the most demanding job sites, helping contractors deliver scalable, future-proof AV and IT infrastructure that customers can rely on for years to come.

  • 40U rack capacity: Generous vertical space for a broad mix of equipment, including matrix switchers, AV distribution gear, servers, storage, and network appliances. The MRK Series supports dense, multi-rack configurations essential for large venues, campuses, and multi-bay installations, enabling you to consolidate gear into a single, organized footprint while preserving room for growth.
  • Compact 22" width and 26" depth: A space-saving footprint that fits tighter rooms, control centers, or racks shared with other equipment. This combination maximizes floor-space efficiency without sacrificing the ability to mount substantial hardware, reducing the need for oversized furniture or additional furniture racks in your installation.
  • Rugged open-frame design: Built from heavy-duty steel with a focus on structural integrity, the MRK rack delivers reliable support for heavy components and repeated service cycles. The open-frame approach enhances airflow, improves cooling effectiveness, and simplifies cabling, making it easier to manage power, data, and AV connections across multiple devices in a single enclosure.
  • Seismic certification and reliability: The MRK Series is engineered to meet seismic requirements, providing peace of mind in regions where movement or vibration is a consideration. This certification helps installers comply with local codes and client expectations for mission-critical environments, reducing risk and potential downtime.
  • Versatility for multi-bay deployments: Designed to integrate seamlessly into larger installations, MRK racks pair with a wide range of Middle Atlantic accessories and modular rails. The open-frame configuration, combined with optional doors, panels, and accessories, supports flexible equipment layouts, easier upgrades, and simplified serviceability across multiple bays or rooms.

How to install Middle Atlantic MRK Series 40RU Open-Frame AV Rack

  • Plan your layout: Review the equipment list, cable pathways, power requirements, and cooling strategy. Identify where the MRK rack will sit, ensuring level positioning and sufficient clearance for airflow and service access.
  • Prepare the space: Verify flooring support, secure the rack location, and gather required mounting rails, anchors, and accessories. If you’re integrating with other racks in a multi-bay system, map the alignment and spacings in advance for a seamless fit.
  • Assemble the rack frame: Unpack and assemble the open-frame MRK unit per the manufacturer guidelines, ensuring all cross-members and feet are properly seated. Tighten fasteners to the recommended torque and confirm the frame sits squarely.
  • Mount equipment: Install heavy gear first using appropriate rails, spacers, and supports. Distribute weight evenly to maintain stability, and follow manufacturer weight limits for each bay. As you add equipment, plan for balanced heat dissipation and cable routing to avoid clutter and blockages.
  • Route cabling and power: Employ structured cabling with clearly labeled paths. Use cable management accessories to keep power and data runs separated where possible to minimize interference. Route cords to prevent strain on connectors and ensure accessibility for maintenance.
  • Finalize and test: Install any optional doors or panels if required, complete cable labeling, and verify system cooling and airflow. Perform a basic power-up test to confirm that all equipment is recognized and that airflow is unobstructed before full deployment.

Exceeds performance expectations of OEM fluids
Size: 5 Quart Jug
You know I didn't think it would work as well I've heard all these horror stories but you know what this works better than the factory CVT fluid this stuff is great this is amazing be very careful to get your levels correct that goes without saying with any transmission but once you do that this fluid is amazing I have a better performance than when I had the new transmission I serve my CvT 35 to 40,000 miles I'm using it in a 2018 Mitsubishi outlander base model and I'm also running Yokohama geolander 015s on it. If you worry about tires for you Mitsubishi or any vehicle. I'm going to say you'll call when you lander whether it's a car or crossover or an SUV this tire is amazing it's best all around tire and your rain traction is phenomenal

Good Stuff!! All low speed shudder is gone.
Size: 5 Quart Jug
I have a 2020 Nissan Altima SL 2.5l and Nissan is VERY specific about using ONLY NS3 transmission fluid. There are only a couple NS3 transmission fluid manufacturers...Nissan NS3 (Manufactured by Idemitsu), Idemitsu (a little cheaper than Nissan dealer), Triax, and Mannol (works good too). Seeing as Nissan is still using Jatco CVT transmissions which are known to be very troublesome, and very expensive to replace I wouldn't try any of the so-called "universal" transmission fluids just to save $50 and end up replacing a $6000 transmission. The Triax fluid seems to work very good in my car. I don't feel the shutter that I normally feel when driving slow and need to accelerate. The shudder is completely gone and operating smooth. The old fluid had 50k miles and it was very dirty but didn't smell burnt. I ended up doing 2 - 3 1/2 quart changes with 200 miles between the first and second change. I plan on doing another 3.5/4 quart change every 15k miles since there is no way to completely drain the 7.4 quarts of transmission fluid. The first change, only 3.5 quarts drained from the pan.

This CVT Fluid worked perfectly in a 2018 Chevrolet Spark.
Size: 5 Quart Jug
This fluid is fantastic. I bought a 2018 Chevrolet Spark with 30K miles and had a bad transmission shudder. Drained the transmission, cleaned-out the pan, and replaced the filters. Old fluid was black and this is a clear green. I loved the jug as it had a pop-up spout that was small and easy to pour, and the jug has a side handle. Transmission works great and the shudder is gone. I plan to change the filters and fluid again after 1K miles. This fluid is well worth the money!
