What happens if the needle accidentally hits the frame of the magnetic hoop?
If the needle hits the metal frame, the needle will likely break, which is common for all embroidery hoops. However, the MaggieFrame base is made from durable metal, ensuring the frame itself remains intact. On machines like the PFAFF creative vision or VIKING DESIGNER RUBY 90, always monitor needle placement carefully to avoid damage or misalignment during stitching.
For very thick fabrics, could I embroider without a stabilizer?
Even though the magnetic hoop’s grip is strong, always use a stabilizer when embroidering, especially on thick materials. Stabilizer supports the fabric and prevents puckering during embroidery on PFAFF or VIKING models. Relying solely on the grip may lead to fabric shifting or uneven stitches that can affect design alignment and detail accuracy.
Can I purchase replacement magnet blocks separately if I lose one?
Currently, MaggieFrame magnetic hoops for home machines are sold as complete sets, including both top magnets and bottom metal frames. If any magnet parts are lost, contact customer service to check availability. It is recommended to store all pieces together when not in use to preserve the magnetic strength and ensure consistent hoop performance.
