The DAC Box S FL is a compact, non-oversampling digital-to-analogue converter designed to deliver warm, analogue-like sound from digital sources. With its NOS (Non-Oversampling) design and use of four TDA1543 DAC chips operating in parallel, Dual Differential Mode, it focuses on simplicity and musicality rather than ultra-hi-res specs.

By avoiding digital filters and upsampling, the DAC Box S FL preserves CD-standard 16-bit / 44.1 kHz resolution with minimal processing overhead. Its four DAC chips in parallel help reduce distortion in the audible range, giving a smooth, full-bodied sound and strong bass presence for many users who prefer a less clinical presentation.
Connectivity & Features
It offers both optical (TOSlink) and coaxial (S/PDIF) digital inputs, with a front-panel selector to switch between them. The analogue output is via a single pair of RCA jacks.
