Our beautiful crochet Moses basket is designed to provide your baby with a calm, cosy place to rest from their very first days. Each basket is carefully hand-crocheted from premium 100% cotton yarn and finished with a firm foam mattress suitable for newborns.

Unlike many mass-produced crochet baskets now widely available, our baskets are made one by one in Europe by a skilled maker. Each piece takes 6 - 7 hours to create, resulting in a strong, structured basket crafted with care and attention to detail.

The crocheting method using durable 9mm cotton cord creates a sturdy and supportive basket that keeps its shape beautifully. Many cheaper alternatives are made from softer t-shirt yarn which can lose structure over time, while our cotton cord provides strength, durability and a premium finish.

All materials meet the safety standards required for baby products. The cotton yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, confirming the absence of harmful substances and making it safe for delicate newborn skin.

The bottom of the basket is made from smooth, untreated wood for additional support. This ensures your baby rests on a flat, firm surface, as recommended by the Lullaby Trust for safe newborn sleep. You can read more about Moses basket safety on our blog.

Practical handles allow you to easily move the basket around your home, helping keep your baby close during the day.

Our Moses basket can be used on its own or paired with a Moses basket stand available here. Please note the stand shown in product images may differ from the stand we offer.

For extra mattress protection, we recommend using a removable fitted sheet or a waterproof mattress protector, both available separately.
