Buffalo TeraStation 5820: 8-Bay Desktop NAS with 80TB Capacity and Drives Included

The Buffalo TeraStation 5820 is a high-performance, secure NAS designed for businesses that demand reliable, continuous storage with effortless administration. Built to handle demanding workloads—whether you’re centralizing backups, sharing large media libraries, or supporting multi-user collaboration—this 8-bay desktop NAS delivers enterprise-grade capability in a compact, easy-to-manage package. This bundle includes 4 x 20TB hard drives, providing a substantial 80TB of raw capacity that can grow with your needs as you expand to the full 8-bay enclosure. With scalable storage, robust data protection, and flexible connectivity, the TeraStation 5820 is purpose-built to keep your team productive and your data safe.

  • High-performance, reliable operation for demanding workloads: Designed to handle heavy read and write tasks with a capable multi-core processor and ample memory, the TeraStation 5820 keeps backups, file sharing, virtualization, and media streaming responsive even during peak usage. Its architecture is optimized for continuous operation, making it suitable for small to mid-size business environments that require uninterrupted access to files and services.
  • 8 bays with up to 80TB of storage capacity (4x20TB drives included): This desktop NAS starts with a substantial base of 80TB raw capacity using four 20TB drives and leaves room for expansion into all eight bays. The flexible architecture lets you configure storage across multiple RAID levels to balance performance, capacity, and redundancy as your needs evolve.
  • Advanced security and data protection: Protect sensitive business information with hardware-accelerated encryption and robust user access controls. The TeraStation 5820 supports enterprise-grade security features such as AES-256 encryption, centralized user management, and integration with Windows Active Directory for seamless authentication. Enterprise-grade data protection features help guard against data loss due to drive failure, user error, or network threats.
  • Flexible connectivity and cross-platform sharing: With support for common protocols like SMB, NFS, and FTP, the TeraStation 5820 plays nicely in mixed environments—Windows, macOS, and Linux alike. Dual network connectivity options (including link aggregation) facilitate higher throughput and network resilience, while USB expansion ports enable quick backups or offline transfer of large datasets.
  • Easy administration, backups, and business continuity: The web-based management interface provides an intuitive, centralized control panel for setup, monitoring, and maintenance. Create shared folders, schedule automatic backups, implement snapshots or replication where available, and monitor health and performance from a single dashboard. This makes onboarding, regular operations, and disaster recovery planning straightforward for IT teams and even non-technical staff with appropriate permissions.

  • 3. Install the four included drives into the designated drive bays according to the manual’s guidance, ensuring they seat securely and are properly aligned with the trays or carriers.
  • 4. Connect the TeraStation to your network using the included Ethernet cables. If you plan to enable link aggregation, connect to a switch or router that supports it.
  • 5. Plug in the power cord and power on the unit. Allow the system to boot; initial startup can take several minutes as drives initialize and the OS loads.
  • 6. Access the web-based management interface from a connected computer. Use the default IP address or the Buffalo Utilities tool to locate the device on your network, then log in with the default administrator credentials provided in the manual.
  • 7. Run the setup wizard to configure storage, create volumes, and select a RAID level that matches your redundancy and capacity needs. If you are migrating from another NAS, use the wizard to import shares and permissions.
  • 8. Create user accounts and assign appropriate permissions for team members. Enable Windows AD integration if your organization uses Active Directory for centralized authentication.
  • 9. Configure backup tasks, including scheduled backups to local shares, external USB drives, or remote destinations if supported. Establish a disaster recovery plan and set alert preferences so your IT staff are notified of any hardware or performance issues.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Format: Kindle
Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
