There's a headset limiter to prevent top tube damage in the event of a crash. A 12x100 thru axle up front and child-sized handlebars, grips and brake levers – with Magura hydraulic discs – ensure accurate control at all times. And little touches like the ultra-lightweight Schwalbe Aerothan inner tubes and Newmen wheels are just the kind of details you'd expect from a thoroughbred.

We know from working with Phenix racers that they want a frame that's stiff, responsive and, above all, light. So these are exactly the qualities we built into our Phenix 240 C:62's lightweight carbon frame, but scaled down perfectly to fit younger riders. Every single detail of the frame design is aimed at reducing weight without sacrificing strength or stiffness. A tapered head tube, full carbon fork and 12mm thru-axles front and rear ensure precise steering and efficient power transfer. We kept the seatstays narrow for a comfortable ride. And cables are routed internally for long-lasting precise shifting, so mum and dad can spend less time tweaking and more time cheering.
