The VX1 has increased shoulder area to give a larger appearance and give more blocking area, the arms have also been made larger for better blocking area and added side coverage for better protection. 

BODY CONSTRUCTION

The body gives a larger shape with increased shoulder coverage with added HD foam & carbon inserts to the shoulder wings so it will help absorb the overall impact to those regions., they also feature suspender retention straps to keep them in place. Vaughn has also extended the side rib coverage with articulated foam to give an even better fit and still great mobility. The body has also been designed with a lower chest flap to better integrate in to the pants for overlapping protection. The back of the unit features a molded spine protector with additional padding on the shoulder blade section and various adjustment straps to really customize the fit to your body.

ARM CONSTRUCTION

One big change we see on the VX1 from the V10 is a flatter arm caps which will provided an increase in coverage, they have also extended the arm floaters with a deeper side profile for not just added coverage but also an extra level of protection. On our spec units we have increased the protection by adding 1/4" of LD foams to the bicep & forearm to give that extra level of protection for those high impact zones. One minor change is they have increased the length of the wrist strap to give a more secure fit.
