The Vanish 11 (120" x 90" projectable area) covers most standard garages and basements. If you have the width, the Vanish 16 gives you a significantly larger screen and a 16:9 widescreen ratio that most golfers prefer for simulator play. Both work well — it comes down to your setup and how often you'll deploy and retract. The powered motor is the convenient option if you have a 110V outlet nearby and plan to roll the screen up and down regularly. The hand crank rolls up in about 30 seconds, requires no power, and is a solid choice for spaces without a nearby outlet or for golfers who leave the screen down most of the time. The enclosure system and screen quality are identical across both options.
The 4:3 ratio (Vanish 9, 11) is a squarer format. The 16:9 ratio (Vanish 13, 16) is the standard widescreen format used by most modern projectors and simulator software — it typically delivers a sharper, more immersive image for simulator play. The Vanish Series works with ceiling heights from 108" (9 feet) up to 144" (12 feet). You also need 8"–12" of clearance between the back of the screen and the wall behind it.
