This ESC is splash waterproof. It need water pump for cooling. Here is waterpump link: 12V 30W water pump and DC-DC module for electric surfboard efoil electric boat ESCs/Motors (when use water pump, please make sure test water tubes and no leaking before mount it into your board.)

Default firmware is without throttle calibraiton, which is compatible with Maytech remote (1-2ms throttle signal range)
If you need to use the ESC with other remote or foward&reverse direction, please contact us for firmware reflesh details.
