This no-frills approach to the single-cut platform begins with a highly resonant korina body and neck with a 24.75-inch rosewood fingerboard for a classic feel and string response. Reverend’s home-grown HA5 bridge pickup dishes out hot-rodded PAF-style tones with punch and clarity, suitable for most genres of music. Guitar players note the top-notch hardware appointments that lock the Roundhouse Jr. in tune: a set of Reverend’s Pin-Lock tuners, a Boneite nut, and a Tune-o-matic bridge keep your intonation consistent throughout your fingerboard. From its ultra-stable 3-piece korina neck to its proprietary pickup, this guitar is designed from the ground up for high performance. Even the parts you don’t see are top drawer, such as premium ±10% control pots and polyester capacitors, the robust Pure Tone Technologies jack, and a treble bleed circuit that preserves the high end when you roll back the Volume control. Reverend uses high-grade korina (white limba) — coveted for its consistency and harmonic richness — for guitar and bass bodies; korina is a highly resonant tonewood, a quality that is further enhanced by the instrument’s amazingly powerful electronics package.

Powerful electronics package

This Reverend Roundhouse Jr. is loaded with a powerful and versatile passive electronics package that includes a proprietary custom HA5 humbucker, wound hotter than typical pickups for extra punch, so your high-gain solos plow right through the track. The HA5 delivers excellent clarity to maintain individual note articulation within overdriven chords. Also onboard is Reverend’s fantastically useful Bass Contour control, which lets you quickly tighten up the low end and revoice the pickup to sound more like a vintage single-coil. However, since the HA5 pickup is 100% humbucker, you can deploy single-coil tones without the single-coil hum.
