HPT Valve Spring Compressor Tool- for Honda K20a, K24a, F20C, F22C (VERSION 2.0)

We went back to the drawing board and completely redesigned our venerable valve spring compressor tool and made it even better for S2000 owners.

The previous version tool had some interference while trying to work with the engine in the car as it would interfere with the intake manifold and fuel rail. Our version 2.0 tool solves that problem completely.

We also redesigned the retainer cup out of one piece billet aluminum for more strength and opened up the cup working area almost 30%!

We include all hardware needed to bolt on and go as well as assembly lube for the botls and to help stick those pesky keepers to the HPT screwdriver.

Features:

-One Piece Billet Aluminum Construction

-Red Anodized Durable Finish

-Laser engraved

-Works without removing the cylinder head

-100% Made in the USA

This tool makes it easy to replace valve seals, valves, springs, and retainers while the engine is in the car.

How to use:

The tool is attached to the head with 2 bolts. Once the tool is attached to the head you put the retainer cup (comes with kit) on the retainer/spring(s) you want change. Lubricate the adjustment bolt, and tighten the bolt that will push down on the retainer allowing you to easily remove the keepers. Next simply UN-tighten the bolt and remove the retainer cap to remove the spring(s). Repeat process as necessary

Kit includes:

  • Valve Spring Tool
  • Retainer cup
  • Two bolts to secure to cylinder head
  • One long adjustment bolt
  • HPT magnetic screwdriver
  • Torco lube

Extremely strong magnets
Color: Orange
The magnets are extremely strong. You almost have to slide it off the metal surface to remove.

Excellent Tool For Drilling Shelf Pin Holes
I had a project where I was extending the depth of the bottom half of a bookcase I had made out of pre-drilled MDF from Home Depot. The original bookcase was 11" deep x 10' high. The extended depth of the bottom is to be used to hold audio gear and needed to be 18" depth, front to rear. I was able to increase the depth but had to insert additional panels on the left and right so that shelf pins could be installed. I needed a shelf pin jig to do that, and this jig was perfect for the job. After completing my holes and mounting some shelves I was pleased that the alignment with the inner portion of the shelf was perfect and the distance between holes lined up exactly as with the original panels from Home Depot. The jig is high quality fabricated aluminum, not plastic, and it comes with two drill bits, and stop and Allen wrench, including an instruction manual, all in an attractive plastic case. The jig is well worth the modest price and I would definitely recommend it for drilling shelf clip holes.

a solid choice
I realized I don't need to drill 5mm holes, so this item is just perfect. It's higher quality than those other cheap-chinese noname jigs. In particular: * The stop collar provided actually fits the drill bit. I had one from Tanyo that had too-big collars that didn't stay put. * The fence pins are very soilid, so the jig doesn't move while in place. Other brands have a long knurled screw that wobbles and allows the kiig to move around. * The plate is thick, making it feel sturdy. * It's phyically smaller than the others, because it doesn't have any useless features like euro-hinge hole guides. The case is more compact and stores well. Overall, very satisfied with this jig.
