Hudson Bay Beauty Large Wall ArtFor this piece, I wanted to do another Native American woman in a Hudson Bay blanket. In 2023, I got best of show at a show in Wyoming for a guy in a Hudson Bay blanket that i had painted, and had the idea to paint a female version and take this piece to that same show this year. Though maybe it is more of a contemporary piece because of the fan and the necklace and that they aren't Northern Plains wear. But I thought if she was Southern Plains

But I thought if she was Southern Plains perhaps the fan could have come from Mexico or something as a trade item, as I am sure things got passed around quite a bit between the different groups of people and their cultures.
