Optimize professional-grade rack installations with the Middle Atlantic Vertical Plastic Finger, a 24-space cable management solution engineered for 28" wide SR Series enclosures. This robust plastic finger delivers precise, orderly cable routing in a compact vertical footprint, making it ideal for AV, data, and telecom deployments where bandwidth, accessibility, and reliability matter. Designed to maximize every inch of rack space, this 24-space finger helps you separate power, data, and video runs, maintain clear airflow, and simplify future reconfigurations without disturbing existing cabling. When performance and organization are non-negotiable, this vertical finger is a trusted choice for installers who demand dependable, low-profile cable management that stands up to daily rack activity.

  • Compatibility and design—Built to fit 28" wide SR Series racks, this 24-space vertical finger provides a dedicated channel for each cable run, preserving clean routing from back to front. The plastic construction resists deformation under load, maintaining consistent spacing even as cables are added or reconfigured over time. This design minimizes tangling, makes cable identification faster, and supports streamlined service calls or upgrades in busy rack environments.
  • Space optimization and capacity—With 24 distinct spaces, the unit acts as a spine for your cabling, aligning power, data, and AV lines into organized lanes. This arrangement reduces bundle crossovers and promotes predictable cable paths, which in turn simplifies maintenance, improves signal integrity, and enhances overall rack aesthetics. The 28" compatibility ensures you can leverage the full width of SR Series racks without crowding connectors or bending cables at sharp angles.
  • Cable management benefits and airflow—The vertical finger design fosters better air circulation around cables, helping to prevent heat buildup and hot spots in high-density installs. By keeping cables neatly routed in their own channels, airflow remains unobstructed, contributing to cooler equipment operation and potentially longer component life. Routine maintenance becomes easier as individual runs are easy to identify, test, and re-route if needed.
  • Durability and material quality—Constructed from high-quality plastic, the finger is designed to endure the rigors of professional installations. It resists cracking and sagging under typical rack loads, maintains structure through repeated cabling and decabling, and stays resilient even in environments with varying temperatures. The durable material choice provides dependable cable organization without adding significant weight or bulk to the rack.
  • Ease of installation and ongoing maintenance—This cable management accessory is designed for quick, tool-light installation inside 28" SR Series enclosures. Mounting points align with standard rack hardware, enabling fast integration by a single technician. Once installed, you can route and label cables efficiently, remove or re-seat individual runs as networks evolve, and keep the front of the rack uncluttered for easier access to equipment and ports.

How to Install Middle Atlantic Vertical Plastic Finger, 24 Space, For 28" Wide SR Series

  • Step 1: Verify that your rack is a 28" wide SR Series enclosure and that you have adequate space at the desired vertical position for the 24-space finger. Confirm that mounting rails and hardware are accessible and in good condition before beginning.
  • Step 2: Align the vertical finger with the rack’s mounting holes or brackets at the chosen height. Ensure the face of the finger is oriented to allow convenient rear cable entry and front accessibility for labeling and maintenance.
  • Step 3: Attach the finger using the rack’s standard mounting hardware or the hardware supplied with your SR Series enclosure. Tighten screws evenly to prevent any warping or misalignment, taking care not to over-tighten and damage the mounting points.
  • Step 4: Begin routing cables into the 24 designated spaces from the back of the rack. Keep runs organized by type (power, data, video) and avoid sharp bends. Use cable ties or Velcro straps as needed to maintain separation while preserving easy access for future changes.
  • Step 5: Inspect the installed finger for proper clearance and spine alignment. Test cable continuity and check for any interference with front-panel access or nearby devices. Label each cable as you proceed to facilitate quick service and future upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

What is the purpose of the Middle Atlantic Vertical Plastic Finger?

The vertical plastic finger serves as a dedicated, organized channel for cables inside 28" wide SR Series racks. It maximizes space use by providing 24 spaces for clean, accessible cable routing, improving airflow, reducing cable wear, and simplifying maintenance and future reconfigurations.

Is this finger compatible only with SR Series racks?

Specifically designed for 28" wide SR Series enclosures, it is optimized to fit the dimensions and mounting geometry of those products. It may not be compatible with non-SR Series racks without adapters or modifications, so verify your rack model and width before purchase.

Awesome for Cold Brew Coffee and Tea!
I love this pitcher! I make Cold Brew Coffee to have Ice Coffee in the mornings. I just used it this last weekend to make Cold Brew Iced Tea.Both taste great!! It is a glass pitcher with a non-slip bottom. It came very well packaged, in a plastic bag that was wrapped in foam all the way around, and put into a cardboard box. The filter seems very good quality. I put the grounds in it and the add water to the pitcher. I stir once in the middle of brewing in the fridge (recommended in the instructions). When it's done, I keep the lid on and just twist to turn it just off to the side of the spout, and it pours out just fine. (Doing it this way is also stated in the instructions. Doing it this way will definitely keep grounds out of your drink with NO problem! ) I really like this pitcher. It is super easy to clean. And I Brew it starting late morning/ afternoon, letting it sit over night, so it's ready in the morning. I expect it to last years, given the quality! But if my kids or husband ever broke it (since it is glass), I wouldn't hesitate to buy another!! It is definitely a GREAT buy for the money!

Easy to use and clean, good quality, but..
I've used this a few times to make cold brew coffee at home and it works for that purpose. However I have found some downsides to doing it this way which I will discuss below. I like the base on this because it keeps the pitcher from sliding and protects the glass as well. The lid fits nicely and keeps the pitcher sealed. The mesh filter has worked so far for the course grinds required for cold brew and is very easy to empty and clean, especially with the removable bottom cap. However, going by the ratio as instructed by this product of grinds to water (and all that it can fit in the filter), it doesn't make a concentrate but an already diluted, ready to drink cold brew. Due to this, I'd prefer to have a larger capacity brewer so that my batch could last longer (as a concentrate would). You can still add some cream or ice or water if you'd like, but it isn't making a concentrate as if you were using a 1:4 or 1:6 ratio. However its slim design does make it convenient if you don't have much space to keep it in the fridge for as long as you'd like to be using it. The downside I've found to making cold brew this way aside from the size to make the amount I'd prefer at a time for concentrate is.. There is not an easy, convenient way to squeeze the rest of your cold brew out of the grinds that have soaked it up. I use a tea towel or cheese cloth to squeeze it out after dumping them from the filter, but it is a bit messy and time consuming and I feel I still don't get it all. For this reason I would prefer doing cold brew with a French press.

STELLAR Customer Service!
I only used mine about 10 times, and then the top somehow got stuck. I'm not that strong, so I don't know how it happened. Now I can't get it off and it renders it useless. There are no instructions that say whether it tightens to the right or left, so I don't know which way to direct my efforts. It seems to just get tighter no matter the direction I work it. UPDATE: The company immediately replied and offered to send me a new one, even though I bought it 2 years ago. This is excellent customer service! This brewer really makes life easier. Just don't screw the lid on too tight. It makes great cold brew, ready in the fridge when you want it. It cleans up so easily too!

love this!
So far I’m loving this cold brew kit in most every way. That said, I want to get the bad out of the way first: Even with careful attention to stirring the grounds my mesh filler was damaged within the first few brews. It’s just honestly disappointing because I love this kit to the fullest in every other way. It fits perfectly in my refrigerator door. The bumper at the bottom ring gives me peace of mind for protecting against the occasional bump. The filter, even with its weaknesses is well thought out. My brew is about how I like it after ~24+ hours of steeping. It has a convenient removable cap on the bottom to help remove used coffee grounds (your compost or worm bin will thank you!!!) The handle is comfortable and very convenient. I love the lid. It fits very very nice and snug and the design is very well thought out. Being able to pour my coffee without performing a juggling act is a relief. A simple turn of the lid and, “voila!” As a whole this cold brew maker is very attractive to use and store. It’s a mostly premium look and experience at what seems to be a competitive price at the time of my purchase. I will try to source glue to repair my filter and if that fails then look into a replacement from the company. EDIT: I was confident the company would reach out to me to make things right with an offer to replace my filter with their updated model. Have not heard back as of yet. Would certainly change my review back to 5* if they made this right. A product should not fail so soon - especially with the special care & attention I’d given it. EDIT2: Amanda and Justin were very quick to replace my filter once I found their email and messaged them my order number and explained my situation. 5 star product 5 star customer service.

Very good cold brewer.
This cold brew coffee maker is great. I was a little skeptical about it when I was shopping for one. But for such an inexpensive price and Amazon's great return policy, I would try it out. Well I'm glad I did! Even before it got to me, the seller sent me an email with some suggestions on how to cold brew and a pdf attachment with some nice recipes. I also bought a can of Cafe Du monde coffee to use with it. When it arrived, I went right in. I unboxed the brewer, and was really impressed with the quality of it. Very well made. The filter is strong and the removable rubber bottom of the carafe is a really good idea to make it non-slip. I like my coffee strong, so I filled the filter with coffee to the top. Especially if you are going to add ice later to your drink, make it strong. When your filter is halfway filled with coffee, fill the carafe with water halfway as well. Mix the coffee in the filter a little bit. Then fill the filter to the top with coffee and then fill with water. Give it another couple stirs and place in the fridge. When carrying to the fridge make sure to hold the bottom of the carafe. The handle is not as strong when filled with water. Come back the next day and stir some more. Later that day, or even the next day, your coffee is ready to go. I made Vietnamese coffee with mine. I put some sweetened condensed milk on the bottom of my glass ,with a splash of milk or half and half, then ice and cold coffee. AMAZING! Worth the wait. Not bitter, but not overly sweet either. Great taste with the cafe du monde coffee. Go get yourself one of these and enjoy. I am going to try the pumpkin spice one, that is in the recipe book the seller emailed me next. Can't wait!!!
