Having finished his studies in Law and Economics at Freiburg University in 1974, Wolly married Marianne who studied Education and became a kindergarten teacher. In 1979 as a group of nine couples they planted a free church and for the following years promoted church planting. They also started a travelling ministry in Germany and other European countries to advise pastors and staff members. Since 1991, Wolly and Marianne have belonged to the "Geistliche Gemeinde Erneuerung", i.e. the Spiritual Renewal Movement in the Protestant State Church of Germany. Their book "Gott spricht in meinen Tag hinein" (God speaks into my everyday life was first published in Germany in 2008 and has seen five reprints. Wolly and Marianne live in the Black Forest in South Germany where they run several study groups and teach how to live in the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
