Bruno Mars' fourth solo studio album, The Romantic, was released on February 27, 2026, through Atlantic Records. It marks his first solo album in over nine years since 24K Magic (2016) and his first release since the collaborative album An Evening with Silk Sonic (2021) with Anderson .Paak. Mars primarily composed the album with past collaborator and An Evening with Silk Sonic producer D'Mile, with additional contributions from Philip Lawrence, Brody Brown, and James Fauntleroy.
The album was supported by two singles: "I Just Might," released on January 9, 2026, which debuted atop the US Billboard Hot 100, and "Risk It All," released alongside the album. Mars partnered with over 200 record stores in the U.S. and additional locations across Australia, Asia, Europe, and Latin America to hold listening parties on February 25, 2026, as part of his role as the 2026 Record Store Day ambassador.
The Romantic received generally favorable reviews, earning a Metacritic score of 66/100. Critics praised Mars' vocals and production, with Rolling Stone awarding it four stars and calling it an "undeniable" crowd-pleaser that successfully blends 1970s soul influences. NME gave it four stars, praising the "fantastic" production and Mars' "terrific, raspy voice." The Romantic Tour, consisting of 71 shows across North America and Europe, is scheduled from April to October 2026.
