Introducing the Black Box Secure NIAP 3.0 KVM Switch, a purpose-built solution for security-conscious environments where control, clarity, and compliance matter. This dual-head, 2-port HDMI KVM desktop switch empowers a single operator to manage multiple secure hosts from a single workstation, using one keyboard and mouse alongside two high-resolution HDMI displays. Built for government agencies, defense contractors, and enterprise security teams, this device blends rigorous NIAP 3.0 validation with CAC (Common Access Card) support to deliver trusted, auditable access to sensitive computer systems. Whether you are running parallel secure environments, performing command-and-control tasks, or conducting risk-aware data analysis, this KVM switch helps you streamline workflows without compromising security or performance.

  • Control up to four HDMI computers from one secure desk setup using a single keyboard and mouse and two HDMI monitors, enabling fast host switching while maintaining strict separation between systems.
  • NIAP 3.0 validated security with CAC (smart card) authentication integration, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access connected hosts and switch between machines.
  • Supports 4K video on dual HDMI displays, delivering crisp images and accurate color for high-stakes operations, data visualization, and detailed analysis across multiple hosts.
  • Tamper-resistant, secure-channel design isolates each host connection, reducing the risk of data leakage or cross-host interference and supporting regulatory compliance in mission-critical environments.
  • Compact 2-port desktop form factor that fits neatly on secure workstations while offering straightforward deployment and seamless compatibility with standard HDMI sources and peripheral devices.

Technical Details of Black Box Secure NIAP 3.0 KVM Switch - Dual-Head, HDMI, CAC, 4K, 2-Port

  • Video resolution: Supports 4K Ultra HD video on both displays for sharp, high-detail visuals and reliable performance in demanding software environments.
  • Security and authentication: NIAP 3.0 validated security with CAC compatibility for smart-card-based user authentication and access control.
  • Peripheral sharing: Shares a single keyboard and mouse across connected hosts, reducing desk clutter and improving operator efficiency without sacrificing security.
  • Form factor and compatibility: Compact 2-port desktop switch designed to work with standard HDMI sources and common security infrastructures, making it easy to integrate into existing secure systems.

How to install Black Box Secure NIAP 3.0 KVM Switch

Follow these recommended steps to install and configure your secure KVM switch for reliable operation and compliant access control:

  • Plan your workstation layout by identifying the two HDMI displays, the two official host computers, and your keyboard/mouse peripherals to ensure clean, organized cabling and minimal signal interference.
  • Power down all devices before connecting. Connect the keyboard and mouse to the KVM’s USB/keyboard port to enable shared control across hosts, then connect the two displays to the dual HDMI monitor outputs on the KVM.
  • Connect each HDMI host to the corresponding input ports on the KVM switch. Ensure that both hosts have their video outputs routed through the switch so you can toggle between them using the KVM’s controls.
  • Integrate CAC authentication by attaching the supported CAC reader or card-enabled module to the KVM as required by your security policy. Configure user credentials and access rules in accordance with your organization’s security posture and NIAP guidelines.
  • Power up the system and test host switching. Use the front-panel controls or any supported hotkey sequences to verify seamless transitions between hosts, monitor output integrity, and keyboard/mouse responsiveness. Run a quick data-access verification to ensure no cross-host data leakage occurs during switching.
  • Perform final security validation, including audit logging and compliance checks, to confirm that all connections are isolated, authentication is enforced, and authorized operators can reliably access the correct secure hosts.

Frequently asked questions

  • What does NIAP 3.0 certification mean for this KVM switch?

Im glad i didnt buy this at full price. Fully charged and I kept having to charge it everyday, sometimes 2xs a day. The rope and loop is sturdy enough to last through his incessant chewing and now he just tosses it around n bops it with his nose. 3 functions were cool. I just wish this stayed charged for longer periods. I bought this as his crate toy vs eating his bed lol it was fun while it lasted

Great interactive toy
Color: Blue
I give this 5 stars because I have no issues at all. We've had it for 3 months and still going strong. Battery lasts a few days. It has 3 different settings and goes to sleep after 5 minutes so I just open it up and turn it on again. I charge it on my android charger. Charges really fast. My dog (pomeranian) loves the ropes and she gets an enormous amount of exercise from it when I can't take her out for a walk.

Great chew toys!
Color: Purple, Size: Medium (Pack of 1), Color: Purple, Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
Keenan LOVES this toy! He will play with it all day. Running around the house, chasing as it bounces in different directions. And he'll be so content chewing on it for long periods of time. It makes an annoying sound when he chews, but I can live with it if it's keeping him entertained. This is the second purple rubber toy from this brand that I've purchased, the other being the squirrel one, which was his favorite until I purchased this for Christmas. They are super durable, his squirrel is still going strong. Even without putting food/treats inside, these are great toys for dogs that enjoy the softer rubber type chew toys. My only con is that it's a little big for him. He weighs 70lbs and I got the medium. It's fine but he has a hard time carrying it because of its size/shape, and he can't catch it when I toss it to him. Think I'm gonna buy the small size to see if it's any better.
