The Lenovo DC S4500 480 GB Solid State Drive is engineered to bring enterprise-grade reliability, speed, and efficiency to data centers that rely on Lenovo servers. Built on Intel 3D NAND TLC Flash memory and delivered in a compact 2.5" internal form factor, this SATA (SATA/600) SSD is designed to accelerate demanding workloads while keeping total cost of ownership in check. Ideal for databases, virtualization, and mixed I/O environments, the S4500 delivers consistently lower latency and higher throughput than traditional hard drives, helping you squeeze more performance from existing infrastructure without a complete overhaul. Designed with Lenovo servers in mind, the S4500 aligns with Lenovo management ecosystems and server backplanes to provide a seamless upgrade path for growing data centers.

  • Enterprise-grade performance for Lenovo servers. Optimized for mixed read/write workloads, the S4500 delivers fast response times and sustained throughput, reducing bottlenecks in online transaction processing, virtualized environments, and data analytics. This drive is built to handle bursty I/O and steady, predictable performance bursts that busy data centers demand.
  • 2.5-inch form factor with a SATA/600 interface. A familiar, drop-in upgrade for most Lenovo server configurations, the S4500 fits standard 2.5" drive trays and leverages the ubiquitous SATA 6Gbps interface for straightforward deployment without changing storage controllers or cabling.
  • Intel 3D NAND TLC flash memory. The use of Intel 3D NAND TLC technology provides a balance of high capacity and reliability, delivering improved endurance characteristics over traditional planar NAND and enabling longer drive life under enterprise workloads.
  • Designed for Lenovo data centers and management integration. Built to work with Lenovo server ecosystems, including Lenovo XClarity and compatible storage configurations, the S4500 integrates smoothly into existing Lenovo deployments for streamlined management, monitoring, and firmware updates.
  • Energy-efficient operation for lower TCO. The S4500 emphasizes power efficiency in idle and active states, helping reduce overall energy consumption in dense rack environments while maintaining strong performance metrics during peak activity.

  • Verify drive health and performance, run any required RAID or storage pool configurations, and begin provisioning the SSD for your databases, VMs, or workloads.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the Lenovo DC S4500 used for? The S4500 is an entry-to-midrange enterprise SATA SSD designed for Lenovo servers. It accelerates databases, virtualization, and mixed I/O workloads with reliable, consistent performance while keeping deployment costs favorable for data centers.
  • Is the S4500 compatible with Lenovo ThinkSystem and other Lenovo servers? Yes. The S4500 is intended for Lenovo data center environments and is designed to integrate with Lenovo server hardware and management tools. Always verify compatibility with your specific server model and firmware version.
  • Does the S4500 support hot-swapping? Hot-swap support depends on the server backplane and chassis. In Lenovo servers that support hot-swap drive bays, the S4500 is designed to operate in those environments when properly integrated with the backplane and storage controller.

prevents slipping
Color: Violet, Size: ipad 9th/ 8th/ 7th gen 10.2 inch
works well, snaps on easily (a bit more effort to remove though, but not difficult). color is pleasing and gives good grip so it's less likely to fall ut of my hands. I like the folding part of the cover flap, since it acts like a mini stand for hands-free stuff (like recipe reading). also the cover has a slight 'velvet' feel to it and seems to stabilize and prevent the ipad from slipping and falling off my chair arm/handle when I set it down. overall,it's good so far, I like it,it's very useful for watching movies, etc. and does not make the ipad too bulky for fitting into a bag.

So good we ordered more — flawless WiFi upgrade
Size: 2 Pack, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000
The TP-Link Deco BE25 (Deco 7) Dual-Band BE5000 WiFi 7 Mesh system has been an absolute game changer for our home network. Setup was surprisingly simple, and within minutes we had strong, stable coverage throughout the entire house. Dead zones we used to struggle with are completely gone. The signal stays consistent even when moving between floors and rooms, which makes a huge difference for streaming, video calls, and smart devices. Speed and reliability have both been noticeably improved. Everything feels faster and more responsive, especially with multiple devices connected at once. The app is also easy to use for managing settings and monitoring the network. It worked so well that we ended up ordering more units to expand coverage even further. That really says it all—this system just works, and it works well. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their home WiFi to something truly reliable.

Plug & Play - Stable Fast Network
Size: 3 Pack, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000, Size: 3 Pack, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000
I replaced a previous version of these Deco mesh routers (X55)- installed my previous ones at my in laws and upgraded myself with these. It was truly plug-and-play, and I have all of them wired backhaul. The only couple things that surprised me was the size. They are much larger than they appear in the pictures. The other is the LED control. I like the previous version you cannot individually control the LEDs for these so it’s all or nothing. I upgraded the unmanaged switch at my patch panel that wires the house with 2.5gb, making sure that the backhaul on these was as possible. By this point I’ve had them for about six months and I’ve had zero downtime. My wife and I are both professionals. I work from home and have never once had a disruption so the reliability has been perfect. All my devices were able to connect without issue and I have about 78 total wireless devices across my 4000 square-foot house. Even my devices that control sprinkler systems in my yard connect great. Until I get about 100 yards from my house (way in the backyard). Meaning the compatibility and range are top-notch. My Internet speed is only 1 gb at the moment, but I wanted something more future proof since my ISP has up to 10 available. I definitely recommend this product and actually all of the deco mesh systems.

Finally Fixed the Dead Zones in My House
Size: 3 Pack, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000
I bought this after getting tired of dealing with weak Wi-Fi in certain parts of the house, and the difference was noticeable almost immediately. Setup was much easier than I expected and only took a few minutes. Before installing it, video calls would freeze, pages would take forever to load, and some devices would randomly disconnect when moving farther from the router. Since adding this mesh extender, the connection has been much more consistent and I’m getting coverage in areas that barely had a signal before. I also like that devices seem to switch between the router and extender smoothly without me having to think about it. If you're struggling with dead spots or unreliable Wi-Fi, this has been a worthwhile upgrade.

Very outdoor. Outstanding outdoor Wi-Fi — perfect companion for Starlink (even in winter!
Size: 1 Pack Outdoor, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000, Size: 1 Pack Outdoor, Style: Wi-Fi 7 BE5000
I’m using this as the main router at an off-grid cabin, connected directly to a Starlink Mini, and it has been phenomenal. The coverage and stability are far better than the built-in Starlink Wi-Fi router, especially outdoors and around multiple buildings. This unit serves as the primary node in my network, with a few Deco M5 units extending the mesh, and the handoff between them is seamless. I’m getting reliable coverage over roughly 3 acres, including around the cabin, outbuildings, and yard — something the Starlink router couldn’t come close It’s mounted outdoors and has gone through freezing winter conditions with snow, ice, and icicles forming around it — zero issues so far. Performance hasn’t dropped, and it’s stayed rock solid. Setup was straightforward, management through the app is easy, and once it’s running you basically forget about it — which is exactly what i want. If you’re running Starlink at a rural property, cabin, farm, or large yard, this is an excellent upgrade and easily worth it. Strong signal, wide coverage, and dependable even in harsh conditions. Highly recommended..!.
